Need Dance Studio Recommendation

My 4 year old daughter REALLY wants to get back into dance lessons. She did a year and one summer of Creative Movement at Jessica Morgan. Didn't love our experience there and we're looking for another option. Please don't get mad, I'm not knocking Jessica Morgan at all, it just wasn't a good fit for us. Can anyone recommend a good studio for her age? Thanks!

What can I do next?

We've done dance at Bon Aire Dance and Pilates which is now River City Ballet/Dance. It's on Robious at the intersection of Midlothian in the Total Wine strip mall. I liked the teacher but not the "studio" itself. Kind of cramped (both old studio and new studio) and not condusive to my littler one that was in the waiting area with me. AND there's no way to watch the class while it's going on......They moved into this new studio and brought the same old 20 yo TV for the "inside feed" to watch and it barely worked when it was on. I've heard of another studio in the Kroger/IvyMont shopping center but don't know where you are.....Good luck!

Your question doesn't indicate why the fit wasn't good. If she needs a little more relaxed environment, try River City Gym. I think they have done very well with the 3 & 4 y.os.

Barbara Hammond School of Dance on the West End (Lauderdale) is awesome - my daughter did 4 years of dance there and then decided it wasn't her passion... she started at age 3.

River City Gymnastics in the Far West End has dance, gymnastics and all kinds of programs. I know the couple that runs it and they are WONDERFUL! They focus on nutrition and balance and exercise - not just "do this, now this." I am going to send my son for a male only class once he's old enough.
