Need Cleaning Products
that actually work. I need to clean my shower and i don't know what to buy anymore that will work. Here's what i've tried; liquid w/beach srubble bubbles-didn't work, Mr Clean magic eraser- well it worked but it took me forever and now my hands hurt!! , oxy clean-powder, didn't work. I'm tired of buying products that don't work. If there's something that i'm missing that's really good to clean and easy to use let me know, please. I will be going to the store tomorrow to see what else i can buy.
It's not mildew, but the walls are now off white cuz of the stains (if that's mildew then i guess i need a mildew remover)
Do you know anything that works like magic? Thank you ladies

Melaleuca's Tub & Tile if great. If you have already tried a few things and nothing has worked, you might also need a lot of elbow grease at first. For regular maintenance, you can use Melaleuca's No Work to reduce how often you need to clean it.

CLR Daily (yellow bottle) works wonders for me. I just spray it, leave it a couple minutes and wipe, and that white scum goes away. No scrubbing or anything. It doesn't have the intense fumes of some other cleaners either, and it's not as harsh as the full-strength CLR that's in the gray bottle.

We clean our porcelain tub with shampoo. Use an inexpensive brand. Pour it on, wipe it on the sides and let stand overnight. Then rinse, wiping with a sponge. The tub is old with the finish nearly worn off and it comes out white every time.
Be careful using bleach. Full strength it will eventually remove the finish.

lemon and baking soda. if you don't have lemon use white vinegar. cheap and won't pollute like the other cleaning products in the stores.

Lemon juice and baking soda....natures best.
It sounds like you have lime - you can use the CLR - you get it at home depot, it's a tad thick and works really well on Calcium, Lime and Rust - hence the name.
Use a Scotch scour pad as well - it could be that you've used too much stuff...let it rest for a day. Try the lemon juice and baking soda with the scrub pad!!
GOOD LUCK!!

I use 2 homemade all purpose cleaners that work great. My favorite is 1/4 cup vinegar, 1/2 teaspoon liquid soap (I use palmolive dish soap), and 2 cups water. Put it in a spray bottle, shake it up, spray on and wipe off.
If the stains are more stubborn I mix vinegar and baking soda into a paste. Smear it on, let it sit about 5 minutes, then wipe it off. Repeat as necessary and a little elbow grease may be required, but the baking soda softens things up so it is easier to remove. The baking soda will foam up when vinegar is added, but if you add the vinegar slowly in small amounts to make the paste it won't bubble out of the container (I use a bowl).
Oh, I almost forgot my third go-to cleaning agent. Bar Keepers Friend. That stuff is simply magical in what it can do. I have used it to clean just about everything except windows and the toilet! Just wet the surface, sprinkle on, and rub it off. I rarely have to even scrub when I use Bar Keeper's Friend.

Try, course salt and lemon juice.
Scrub with course salt, with half the lemon. Its like a natural scrubber.
It gets oxidation, off of silverware.
Maybe it will work for shower walls????

Baking soda IS magic. :)
And borax. Get the whole thing wet, sprinkle all the surfaces, let it sit, and then you will have to scrub, but it comes off.

I use Melaleuca products and LOVE them. We have very hard water in AZ and they work great on my shower doors/walls. You can't get the products in a store, they are mail order. They don't contain all the chemicals and harmful fumes of the products you've listed so not only do I have a clean house, all our our allergies are much better. :-) Send me a message if you'd like to know more. I'd be glad to give you details.
