Next year...I'm starting in January!!! My mom loves opening the stockings on Christmas morning...that is her favorite part! So...there is a lot of pressure on me to get awesome stuff for it! Lets just say my Dad sucks at shopping(like every man)! But, he likes to wait until I am home and then ask me to run out shopping with him on the 23rd or 24th. Yeah...that's what I want to do! So, I need some ideas for her stocking. She tells me every year to not get lotions and stuff like that...so that's out. She loves reading and shopping.

Please help! Any ideas for me???

She probably has enough stuff, so maybe usable things - like a gc to some event. Or a pair of diamond studs, if you're going to impact.

Stockings are a big deal at our house as well. I like to put "experiences" in the stocking. Movie or concert tickets, a potter class, and coupon for a lunch date, pedicure, etc. We also put in small things that are the persons favorite (to show how well we know eachother) favorite chapstick, or hot sauce, or coffee, etc.

I've read the other answers so I'm not going to repeat them (I don't think), but we always got a bag of pistachios and beef jerkey as well. They were always a big hit because we liked them, but they weren't something that was around the house a lot to eat. So even if she doesn't like those two specific items, think along the same lines. My grandma really likes the chocolate oranges and they have those in dark chocolate as well. You could do specialty coffee or tea (whatever her preference would be), and they have those to go tea mugs that you can use to brew loose leaf tea in as well.
