Need Cheap Carpet!

We are going to be putting our house on the market, but the carpets are in bad shape and need to be replaced. They were in bad shape when we moved in 4 years ago, but they have gotten worse. There is only carpet in the 3 bedrooms...the rest of the house is tile.

We live in Mckinney. Any suggestions on cheap carpet to put in?

Hi C., I wanted to pass on a bit of information I found useful when we sold our house in Carrollton. We had 1980's mauve colored carpet and it needed to be replaced in the whole house. Our realitor gave us the name of a guy she had worked with who let us sign an aggrement that we would pay them after the sale of our house. He has sinced closed the business to move overseas'. But that saved us money on the front end. You might ask your realtor there is anyone they recommend or have worked with. May or may not offer the same deal ( i didn't know if that arrangement was standard or not) but at least they might know someone who will give you a good deal. Congrats on you baby boy...we have two little boys and they are the light of our world.

I am a mother of 5 and have the most amazing carpet! My husband made all the arrangements so I am not really sure where to get it but it is made of recycled coke bottles. It is wonderful about not absorbing stains. We love it - it would be worth asking about! C. B.

We just put our house on the market and I used CCC Carpet. We carpeted about 1500 SF and the total cost was $2,200 for a decent carpet - they have a low minimum payment for 6 months (which should be enough time to sell the house) and we are paying the rest off after the sale of the home. I am a realtor as well and this deal worked best for us (and after shopping around was a pretty good price) in defraying some of the "get ready" costs.

Flooring Factory Outlet, 5.5 miles E of 75 on HWY 380 heading toward Princeton, ###-###-####. Owner Brant (and Christy) Hagler is who to talk to. I've used him twice: Once to recarpet a rental house (cheap) and later my own house (got a great deal). He's always been negotiable with me and says he will price beat anybody else. Good Luck, A.
