Need Backpack Advice

My 6 year old's backpack is ruined. We bought this backpack at a drug store. Well, it's not waterproof or good quality, obviously. Any suggestions on what backpack to get him?

Thanks!

What can I do next?

Spend the money and get ll bean. The original will take him through elementary school and a larger on when he starts middle school. Mine is almost 20 years old and going strong! Best part is they have a life tie warranty.

I just remember when I was in school the popular brand was Jansport which you can find at macy's. It's kind of expensive... might be about $30-$40 but back then and might still be now Jansport had a lifetime warranty.. so anytime any part of your book bag became ruined you could return it and get another one.

I buy my childs book bags at walmart and they usually last the year before they start to develop holes.

Jansport. You can get them at Kohl's I think & I know a lot of sneaker stores sell them, also. They are pricey, but like Tracey said, lifetime warranty is totally worth it. I got my son a cheaper bag last year & within a few months it had holes in it & 1 of the zippers didn't work. This year we dug out the Jansport I used in college about 15 years ago & that's what he's using.

I've been using Nike backpacks for years now...they're sturdy & hold up very well. I have them personalized at a local embroidery shop for $5 or so, & it's well worth it! Been using Nike for about 15 years now....
