Need Any Recommendations for Childcare in Richardson
We may be moving to Richardson and I am looking for any recommendations for childcare in Richardson. I have a 4 year old in preschool now in plano, but will be too far to drive if we move. I am expecting in december and will be looking for infant care as well. I appreciate any input. Thanks.

Hi A..
I work in Richardson and many of my co-workers take their kids to the Peanut Gallery on Greenville Ave. I recently went in to get a tour myself for my 17 month old and really liked what I saw. It felt like a creative environment with caring staff. I wish I had more to tell you, but at least this will give you one more option to consider. Best of luck to you with your move and childcare.

Spring Creek Private School. It's afordable and I was very pleased with them. My youngest went there until she started kindergarten.

I work in Richardson, so I checked out a few daycares in the area when I was pregnant. I liked Primrose School at Breckinridge Park. It was very clean, but a little pricey. They do have a waiting list, so if you like the center, get on the list as soon as possible. The owner owns 6 daycares and I enrolled my daughter in one closer to home. I was going to transfer her down to this one, but when the opening came up, I realized that being closer to home was more advantageous for me.
I also checked out Children's Choice (it's a new daycare in the Shire at Jupiter and 190). They run the daycare at Medical City Dallas hospital. It's also a bit pricey, although a little cheaper than Primrose.
If cost is an issue, then look into the KinderCare at Campbell and Jupiter. The facility is a little older, but the teachers were great and it was the ONLY facility I visited where NONE of the kids in her potential classroom were crying. All the kids were very happy (approx 3 months to 12 months in age).
I also looked into the KinderCare at Plano Parkway and Alma. The rooms were bigger than at Campbell and Jupiter, but I didn't like the fact that they didn't have a fence around the facility and all the kids had to walk through the parking lot to get back inside from play. I felt the facility was too close to the road for that.
Congratulations on your baby girl!
