Need Advice on Potty Training Two-year-old Twins

Get "I Can Go Potty" potty training for boys and girls. This dvd helped me tremendously along with mom's personal touches. I got my daughter pee pee potty trained in a week with lots of positive reinforcement using what she loves, sweets and Nick Jr shows. Still working on poo poo, but there's no rush as she is strongly hesitant right now. She's 2 and a half and it can be up to the age of four before children are potty trained. Just waiting for her to be ready and then I'll proceed with the number 2. Good Luck!

The best advice I got for potty training was to leave the child pantless during the day, and it worked very well for me, too. I kept the potty chair in a central location of the house where it was easy for my son to use. Not having any pants on not only made him "hold it" but also made it so easy for him to go by himself with no pants to pull down.

I started trying to potty train my boy/girl twins at about 28 months and to make a long story short, they turned 3 in January and are just now officially potty trained. I felt that I was doing it for my own benefit and they just weren't ready. Maybe you can try one at a time. I prepared them for it, I told them when we got back from vacation there would be no more diapers or pull-ups, put them in their underwear and cleaned up a lot of messes for a few weeks. Whatever you decide to do, make sure you are consistant and you will know when the time is right. Good Luck!!

They don't sound ready yet. I have twin girls who will be 3 in May. One will use the potty for peepee sometimes and the other one is just not ready yet. I plan to get them potty trained over the summer so they can go to pre-k in the fall.
