Need Advice on Orthodontist in St. Louis, West County

My oldest daughter is 9 and will need a palate spreader soon, (as her teeth are very crowded.) I have been to three orthodontist in West County, as the first two contradicted the other during the consultation with the long term plan. The last consultation was at Dr. Allizadeh's office, and we met with Dr. Schreiner. My daughter really liked Dr. Schreiner and so did I, but then a good friend of mine was asking around and said a good friend of hers went there for years and was very unhappy there and switched with their second child. (Seems it was with more the business side of things.) So now I don't know what to do. Have any of you used this office? If so, what was your experience? This was our third consultation and I was planning on going there until I heard that. ...Do you have another orthodontist you love? Your feedback is greatly appreciated!

What can I do next?

My daugther is 8 and just got a RPE spreader in a couple of months ago. We are going to Dr. Morrell in St Peters/St. Charles on Jungerman not far from hwy 94. I would highly recommend him and his office personel are very professional and great with kids. We also have friends that go there but didn't find out they used that office till after we were already going. For their family the Dad and son both are going both have braces and they have had good experiences with that office & Dr. Morrell too.

The RPE was not as terrible ordeal and I expected. My daughter adjusted well and very quickly to it and youc can't even tell she has it in and her speech is perfect too. You wouldn't know it's in there unless she told or showed you.

My daughter had the same issue with crowding and needed to have her palate spread in order to make room for permanant teeth and also to realign her spacing. Her treatment began with Dr. Hank Shuppert who has moved on to other opportunites but his practice has been taken over by Dr. Charlie Ries. Since being in his care he very compentant and his staff has always been friendly and provided any assistance when requested. From the business side, from my experience, the are accodating usually take care of the business side as he is very involved in the treatment of his patients. The practice is called Ries Orthodontics and is located off Clarkson by the Chevy's.

My daughter when to Allizadeh and I know others who have also and have seen the beautiful results. We did not have any billing issues but he was on the pricier side. I have heard that Dr. Cherre was more reasonable. I did not deal with the office as my husband took our daughter for all her appointments. But I have heard he is quite nice to look at. :)

We have been using Dr. Cherre at Clarkson and Clayton behind Chevy's. My daughter loves him and his staff. I have not had any billing issues or issues with the office at all. When my daughter was at Crestview she could leave school and walk across to his office if she really needed to. Anyway, good luck

I take my daughter to Bankhead & Firth. We really like them. She had a palate spreader at age 6 and is currently in braces, so we go there often. Staff is very nice. They have 3 locations (we've been to all for one reason or another!), including Eureka. Here is a link to their website: http://www.bankheadandfirthortho.com/

Good luck in your search!

All three of my girls went to Century orthodontics and they love the docs there.....
