Need Advice on Double Stroller! - Sparks,NV
Hello everyone,
I really need some advice on finding a double strollers. I have a lovely boy who is turning three soon and another one coming by next March. I am currently looking for a double stroller which is easy to use and convience for traveling. Very confused on lots of different types of double strollers. Currently I am looking at the Baby Trend Sit'n Stand Double stroller. Is this a good stroller? or any other advice on good stroller that I should take a look at.
Thank you all very much.
M.

I considered the sit n stand, but realized that my big one still would nap in the stroller so I needed something comfortable for both. We ended up getting the Phil and Ted sport buggy. This is a great stroller because it's has to detachable 2nd seat.

I have a son that just turned two yesterday and another baby boy that is four months. I did a lot of research on double strollers and tried them all out personally in the stores. By far, the best one I found was the Baby Trend Sit n' Stand. It steers great, is easy to fold, does not take up too much space in your car and is very reasonably priced. I recommend the Sit n' Stand that has two seats and can also be used with the stand feature. There are Sit n' Stands that are just the one seat and one stand, which means one child will always be standing or sitting on the stand facing you. The one I purchased has the two seats. The second seat is removeable (very easy to remove and put back on when your child gets tired of one position) so that you can use the stand feature. I forget the exact name of the stroller but it may be Baby Trend Double Stroller Sit N'Stand Deluxe. Good luck on your research!

Hi, I had the sit stand stroller, it is verry bulky. I would recomend a side-by-side as opposed to a front-back seat stroler. The side-by-side strolers are easier to drive, and fold and the basket is usually bigger alowing you to carry all the things you need for a toddler and new born. I think my kids enjoyed being able to see each other as well instead of staring at the back of a seet and sunvisor. I don't have any moddles to recomend, but I hope this is at least of some help to you. Good luck and i hope you find a stroller that works well for your family.

I had the Joovy sit and stand and it was super heavy and didn't work out so well for us. My son was 3.5 when our 2nd son was born and he wasn't interested in sitting on that bench in the back and it left NO room for packages when shopping....and since the bench was always in the way, I couldn't reach anything in the basket.

When #3 was about 8 months old, I gave in and bought a double stroller from Right Start/Baby Trend - Sit and Stand PLUS, so it has the back seat, but you can convert it to the sit and stand and it ended up only costing me $100 with the sale they had going on. (looks like it's the same price cuurently) My husband thought it was ridiculous, but has finally agreed that it is much better.

I have the Sit and satnd stroller and I love it. I also have a 3 year old and a 6 month old. That is by far the best stroller. I like how I can let my 3 year old have a little freeedom by standing up but at the same time I can make him sit and strap him in if I have to. So If I were you I would go for the sit and stand one.

I went into the store to buy a sit n stand but when I found out that to have the infant carrier in it you had to have the front seat fully reclined and therefore the older child could not really sit. So I decided against it. I got the graco duo glider and LOOVE it. My girls were exactly 2 1/2 years apart. Honestly though, I really only used it for about 8-9 months. (Maybe til my daughter was 3 1/2) with your son being older too I don't know how long he will want to be in a stroller??? Unless you go LOTS of places where you need it. Whatever you dicide I think its a really good idea to see if someone has one you can borrow for a bit or check resale shops. It would really stink if you bought it and hardly used it. One suggestion though, if you do buy a double, and possibly at babies r us, get the buyer protection thing. I NEVER do that, but when we bought ours the girl said that it covers wear and tear. it was only $15 and protected it for 15 months. we did. One of the seats kind of started wearing on the back, nothing major but if it went too long we would have a problem. So I made a claim. They sent me a check for the whole purchase price for a replacement! So that was very worth it. Good Luck and congratulations!
