Need Adult Halloween Costumes

Hi! Our Sunday School class is having a dress up Halloween party, with the theme being "animation". We are supposed to dress as any animated character on TV. (Scooby, Elmo, etc...) Does anyone have a costume we could buy cheaply for this event? It's Nov. 1. I'm an adult small and my husband is probably a large. We've just started the Dave Ramsey class at our church, too, so I'm trying to find "budget" friendly ways to go to this event without purchasing expensive costumes we'll most likely wear once! Thanks!

What can I do next?

Do you know the show Fairly Odd parents on nick? well you could be cosmo and wanda. cosmo wears black pants, white long sleeve button up shirt with a back tie, his hair is green and wanda wears a yellow t shirt and black pants and her hair is pink. you can make wings, wand,& crown from carbord and cover the wings in tin foil or you can go to the dollar tree and buy the kids fairy wings glue yellow construction paper over the crown and star of the wand the crown floats above their head so you can get head band and wrap a pipe cleaner around it and then tape the crown to it so it looks like it is floating above your headand they don't wear shoes so i would wear black socks but if you need too wear shoes i would try to go with black. if you need picture referance go to

My husband and I were Fred and Wilma Flinstone one year, cute, inexpensive, use the felt material, you can by the pattern at Wal Mart and they are easy to make. GOod luck

try craigslist.org you can post what you want on there and people email you.also a lot of the part supplies stores rent costumes you might look in to that.

I suggest renting. Then you are not stuck with a costume and doomed to be daphanee forever.

I don't know if you can sew very well, but I wonder if the Flinstones would work out for you. I thing the costumes would be really easy to sew since they're not "clean" edges, and you might be able to find a big clunky white necklace at a thrift shop, or even make one out of those little styrofoam balls! Have fun!
