Need Adoption Attorney

Hi,
We have some good news. We have a friend who's sister wants to give her baby up for adoption to us and we need an adoption attorney. I though it would be cheaper than going through an agency again (went through Hope Cottage for our first). We live in McKinney and the birthmom is in Denison, so something close to here would be best. Nothing near Dallas (another reason for not going through Hope). Prayers are definitely welcomed in this situation. Specifically that she not change her mind at some point (or if she does, the sooner, the better). Thanks ladies!!

So What Happened?™

Well, thanks to everyone for her responses. I believe we've decided to go with Lauren Cain. She's a lawyer in Frisco and was adopted herself. Her fees are about half of what all the other lawyers I talked to are charging. She knowledgeable, friendly and obviously her rates are more reasonable than others. I'll let you guys know how everything goes, if you'd like (and if I remember once the baby arrives). Thanks again. I did call the ones you suggested and interviewed them.

Congratulations! I know you don't want anyone in Dallas, but I highly recommend David Cole who is located in Dallas with our adoption. We only had to go to his office once so the travel will not be an issue. He is very professional and inexpensive. We paid approx. $4,700 (including attorneys fees, court fees, home visits).
