Need a Really Good Double Stroller

I am looking for a really good, quality double stroller. I have an 11 month old and my 2nd baby will be due in April. Looking for something that will grow with them. I am willing to spend the money up front if it is worth it.

What can I do next?

Elisa's advice below is right on regarding the Joovy Caboose stroller. If you are interested in one, I have one that is in good condition. I haven't used it a whole lot. I was getting ready to put it on ebay and sell it locally. I'm selling it for $100. If you are interested, I can send you a photo of it. You can e-mail me at ____@____.com

Hi
I can only share my experiences in the double stroller area as it pertains to twins. My sons are 3 years old now.

Stroller #1 was a Graco DuoGlider which I used until they were sitting up on their own and pulling each other's hair.

Stroller #2 was a Maclaren Twin Traveller. Heavy but worked for about a year. That model didn't have a snack tray or cup holder and it was as heavy as the DuoGlider. My sons are big little fellas so I looked into a lightweight that was roomy.

Stroller #3 is a Combi Twin Side by Side (don't recall the name) It has worked really well for about a year now. Still no snack tray or cup holder but it was lightweight and on sale at BRUS. We've used until recently but now the boys are dragging their feet and they are each around 40 pounds...I believe the max weight is around 80 pounds.

If I could do it all over I would get the Peg Perego duette. It had seats that could be placed in different positions. It was heavy but not any heavier than my first two strollers.

I wish you luck!

BTW, I do have 2 single Combi lightweight strollers that held up very well.

Girl go to the new Burlington coat factory over on 820 and rufe snow. They got a great double stroller. Its red and you can turn the front seat around so that its facing the baby in the back seat, or you can turn both seats around to face you as you're pushing them through the mall. Its a Kolcraft Contours double stroller. Its red. you can view it at strollers.com or you can just go to burlington on 820 and check it out in person. I love the stroller. I have the single but I love the fact that I can face it towards me while my 11 month old son is eating his crackers so I can keep an eye on him to make sure he doesnt choke while I'm pushing him through the mall. And the double stroller is only like 139 bucks. Go check it out.

I got a practically brand new Graco Duoglide double stroller on www.craigslist.com. Only paid $100 - and it was barely used. They're upwards of $150 - $200 new. Duogliders are among the nicest for the more affordable strollers. Good luck and congratulations on your new baby!

The first double stroller I had was the Graco Duo Glider. The storage area was hard to get to, but the drink/snack trays were nice. I mainly got rid of it, b/c it was heavy, hard to maneuver, and too big.

Then I bought the JOOVY: Caboose Stand-On Tandem Stroller.
It's for newborns and preschoolers. It has a carrier option for newborns, and a sit or stand option for older kids.

Negatives: Storage area is a little hard to get to, and it only comes with one snack/drink tray. (However, you can buy a JOOVY: "Parent Organizer", to store things like bottled water, keys, or money.)

Positives: Lighter than most "heavy duty" double strollers. Both seats have safety belts, so if you have a wiggly two yr old, this option helps! :) Easy to maneuver & store.

I hoped this info helped.

Good luck & take care,
