Need a Place to Live Soon
I don't know if anyone can help but our home was just forclosed and I need a place to live soon. I am married and mother of 3 boys (9 and 1 year old twins). We are good people and we were fine financally until I became pregnant with the twins, it was a difficult pregnancy and I had to leave work early, I had no income for a while and my husband decided to quit his job to attend cdl training but that didn't work out. We got behind and we were working with the mortgage co. to get some kind of help but one thing led to another and they forclosed on our home. We can afford to pay $1,000.00 a month but we just need someone to give us a chance. Thank you

My mother is a real estate agent. She should be able to help you, even just for renting. Won't you try and give her a call? It wouldn't hurt. Her name is Salome Salenga. Her number is ###-###-#### or ###-###-####. Good luck!

Check out craigslist. A lot of the times the people on there don't do credit checks. Thats how my ex found his house. Good luck!

I live in the Terrell Heights neighborhood, near the Eisenhauer and Chevy Chase intersection. The turnover of houses in my neighborhood is crazy right now, and there are several homes for rent or for sale by owner. There is one with a pool that just reduced the price by 20,000 at the intersection of Eisenhauer and Greenwich that is for sale by owner too. The perk is that you will most likely fall into the Alamo Heights school district which is one of the best in town. I pulled my daughter from her private school to attend the public school next year. We are excited about it. There is also an early learning school called Howard that is up on Broadway that people rave about, I believe it is tuition free, for local residents. Many people will rent a small apartment in the area just to have the Alamo Heights address so that their kids can go to the schools. More than 97% of the teachers have their masters, and the kids can ride their bikes thru the quiet streets to school. Let me know if i can get you any more info.- L.
