Can anyone recommend a good sunscreen that is not greasy? At least SPF 30. I know I should be wearing sunscreen daily, but I have such a hard time wanting to when it makes my skin so greasy or has a strong smell. Right now I am using Neutrogena "non greasy" formula SPF 85 and it is the WORST! I can't believe they are labeling it as non-greasy; I feel like I am coated in Crisco. I have also been using Hawaiian Tropic Sheer Touch, which is better but still slightly greasy and the smell gives me a headache. With how expensive sunscreen is, I hate to keep experimenting and would love your recommendations.
We use Kinesys spray on sunscreen. It's spf 30 and goes on wonderfully. I too am very sensitive to grease and smell, and this works great. It's also Paba free. I found it at REI, and its about 20 bucks for the bottle but we got it last summer and have used it often and still have it. It's the best I have found.
For the first time recently I tried the Walgreens house brand, SPF 55, "Dry Touch" sunscreen. It truly goes on dry and is not greasy (at least it doesn't seem greasy to me) and has no scent. I too truly hate any scents in sunscreens so I would have noticed a disgusting smell. Walgreens sells it in trial sizes so you can give it a try without having to buy a whole huge tube. I have never bought a Walgreens house brand before (they are new in this area) so this was a pleasant surprise. And I'd bet it's much cheaper than Neutrogena.
This is not a whole-body solution, but for your face, how about a moisturizer plus sunscreen? Mary Kay has an SPF 15 one that absorbs well and doesn't feel greasy. I use it in winter. in summer I switch over to Lancome Bienfait Totale with 30 SPF, which has been my favorite for years. Both these products do have a scent, though, so you'll want to test them first.
Have you tried the Neutrogena ultra sheer non greasy formula? I think its only SPF 30. Its expensive but I didn't find it greasy at all when it dried. Haven't tried the Neutrogena you used so I can't compare.
I actually put this one on the kids when they are in the sand. Prevents the excessive stickiness we've gotten from all the other sunscreens. Hoping you find the right one for you. I know I love the Ultra Sheer :)
oops I just googled it and its the same one I'm talking about...just a higher SPF? I don't know I didn't find it greasy at all. Good luck, interested in knowing what works for you?
The brand "Ocean Potion" is not greasy.
Once you apply it and it dries, you barely even feel it.
But it does have a light scent.
It smells like sherbert.
But after you apply it, the scent dissipates.

I use Shaklee's Enfuselle sunscreen. It also has patented anti-aging ingredients. You hardly have to rub it in. It is great for waterskiing--the only one that doesn't wash into my eyes and I don't have to worry about harmful ingredients harming my skin. Let me know if you are interested.
I have the same issues, and it's so hard to find the right one! If I'm out in the sun for a long time, like at my DD's softball games, I'll use the Neutrogena brand spray on, but it does feel a bit sticky or filmy. For every day just around kind of thing, I honestly use facial moisturizer with sunscreen, I use Aveeno or Neutrogena, they have SPF 30, and it feels just like regular lotion. It is expensive, so I look for coupons or sales, but I just can't stand the stickiness.
I saw the I think Aveeno makes a regular lotion with SPF 30, I'm planning to try that this summer.

But maybe your skin is different. Perhaps you can try searching on sunscreen on Amazon and reading the reviews.
neutrogena's ultra sheer is amazing! I love it.
We use Coppertone Kids spray sunscreen in SPF 50. You spray it on, and don't even need to rub it in. It dries pretty dry to the touch, not really sticky or greasy. I use it on my kids and myself. For my face, I use Philosophy's "Hope in a Jar" SPF 25, and wear a hat. :)

We use Sun Shades by Melaleuca. The lotion is 30 SPF and the spray is 45. I like the lotion, my husband like the spray. My kids use both. Light scent and very effective.
