Need a New Professional Digital Camera
I am not a professional photographer, but I would like to invest in a camera that would allow me to take more unique photos. I took a few photos with a friend's professional camera a few weeks ago and even being the novice that I am, the photos were so much better. I am mainly interested in one that does not have the delay seen in the cheaper versions of digital cameras. Anyone have suggestions for the lower end professional grade cameras? I do not need all the bells and whistles. Or, does anyone have a great digital camera that takes good photos without a delay?

I have a Canon 50D, but you would do fine with a Canon xTi, xSi, or the newest one out (can't remember the name of it)...those are entry-level DSLR's and are wonderful! :)

I have a canon rebel xti and I love it. Its a great stater camera. Though its a little more than $600.00 Though it will come in a kit, with a starter lens, strap, battery carger etc. You will love it though.

I have a D60, and I take professional photos of my kids. I no longer take them to a photographer.
I have added two lenses in addition to my camera plus filters.
Also once you have taken the photos its important to get the right photo processing. I use Mpix. Great quality. If you want to send my your email, I can send you some photos so you can see the quality of photos of the Nikon D60.

Sony Alpha A230 is what my husband just bought. He is extremely happy with it and is able to take action shots. He purchased thru the dell.com website. Good luck!

Professional and $600 can't be included in the same sentence.
BUT look at the D3000 or D5000 and a 50mm lens and you might be in business. Then, get lightroom to fix the color and maybe some effects and you will have a pro like look.

A lot of what happens with a professional camera is actually happening with the lens. My husband is not a pro, but an avid hobbiest and he uses a Canon 20D (its old, but good). My brother, who is a pro, shoots architectural marketing and he uses the Canon 40D. I think the 50D is the current version. The Canon lenses are what can really make the difference.
