I got OXY Clean and a bucket for one of my baby shower gifts. Since my son was so small when he was born preemie diapers were to big and everytime he pooped it shot right out his diaper. I put half of scoop of oxy clean in a bucket full of cold water and let it sit for a little while then when it was time to do laundry I threw the clothes in the wash and the stains were gone. His infant clothes still look brand new. Now whenever I go to a baby shower I give them oxy clean.

I dont know if you have a dollar tree close to you but they have this stuff called Awesome and it is exactly that it will take out darn near any stain you have. I have never delt with formula stains because I have breastfed the whole time but I bet it would work. and the best thing is its only $1 lol.

I also use shout and Biz. Sometimes if the stain didn't come out after the 1st wash I will soak it in the Biz until the next wash. I keep a gallon ice cream container next to the wash machine and fill it when I start a load. I add about 1/2-3/4 scoop of Biz and the item still stained. Then during the week I can add a few more. Good Luck!
PS: This works for anyones stains!

I used All detergent, but I always soaked his really dirty clothes first. I found this especially helpful with the blow outs.

I know the feeling with some of my kids this was an issue and then others it wasn't. I found sometimes Shout works but for those stains that are a little tougher I came across a really good "recipe" you take one cup BIZ bleach for colors, half a cup dishwashing detergent(powder for the dishwasher) and 2 gallons of water soak them over night and they will be clean, I did this on a outfit for one of my daughters, it had gotten wet and I didn't realise it and it molded, I loved this outfit but figured it was a goner, but I soaked in overnight in the "recipe" and washed liked normal the next day and you would've never known that it was anything other then almost new. Just another idea.

Biz worked wonders for me. My son was a "spitter" until he was almost one. Soaking the clothes in Biz before washing took out formula and babyfood stains. I also put 1/2 a scoop in with the whole load of laundry. Good Luck! W.

With my frist two this was never a problem. The baby detergent did the trick. Now it seems to be an issue. They either changed the formula for the detergent or for the formulas! I use SHOUT! Whether I see a stain or not. I spray the collar and part way down the front of all my baby's clothes. I even spray the bibs to keep them clean.

I use all Amway laundry soaps and stain removers. My mom used it when I was living at home. She got a two day blood stain out of the carpet with it. I use the laundry soap, SA8, LOC (which removes stains on clothes, carpet, and a multi use cleaner), and a Pre Wash on harder stains (i.e. when #2 lands in the undies and sauce stains). I used LOC and the Pre Wash to get out lipstick that my daughter thought would look great on our carpet. I have been completely amazed at the results!

L.,
Have you ever heard of SA8 laundry detergents and fabric treatments. It is actually the number 1 detergent on consumer reports. The prewash liquid works miracles on my sons clothes when he spits up or has a messy diaper that leaks. I love it. There is also an all fabric bleach which takes out everything I have used it for. If you are interested let me know. I actually get these products through a business I am a part of. You can give me a call at ###-###-#### or ###-###-#### or you can e-mail me at ____@____.com. I will look forward to hearing from you.

I found that oxiclean seemed to work the best, But after either repeated stainings or certain fabrics a stain still can show up. there are some fabrics that don't repel coloring as well (depends upon make up of fabric) and thus gets into the fibers. Some of the formulas out there contain additives that don't lend well to Total removal.

On of the best things you can do is get tons of bibs. thus, the bibs collect those residue stains, then your not out the outfit.

I use Spray & Wash. First I pour in the Spray & Wash in the wash, while washing a load of the baby's laundry and using no detergent. I use the warm water temperature setting. Then I wash the same load with Dreft on the same temperature setting. I do this for all my baby's clothes stained or not. I know it sounds like alot of work, however I lost alot of clothes to formula stains with the first baby. Then I lost alot of clothes to breastfeeding diaper stains with the second baby. Ughhhh! Worked for me!

Hi L.,

I know this has already been mentioned, but I also use Melaleuca products. They are fabulous and less expensive than the grocery store name brands. I have converted my entire home to safer products and I will never never never switch back. They work better, are less expensive and they are SAFE! What more could you ask for? If you have any questions let me know.

Hi L.:

I used to use Shout for everything! Well, I found out there are chemicals in Shout that can cause cancer. Wow, I felt horrible because I used this stuff for years. I found out there was this company that sells environmentally safe products. The company is Melaleuca.
Oh, you will LOVE the Melaleuca products!!! All of them are environmentally safe and safe for our little babies as well as us adults. They have laundry products that are second to none as well as almost 350 other products. Best yet, you don't have to pay an arm and a leg for them. All the prices are comparable to Walmart but safe for our children. I have three children and believe me, I wouldn't be able to afford health food store products for laundry. These are fantastic and I've saved so much money this past year being a customer of Melaleuca.
You're welcome to email me and I can get you the details.

when my son was an infant, i used cream of tartar. you just put some warm water on the stain and sprinkle some on and then rub it in to make a paste. then put the clothes in boilong water on your stove. stir it around for a few mintues. then take it out and squeeze out excess water and throw it in the washer. and wash and dryer as normal. it's the only thing that i have found that works on baby stains. i even tried it on rust once and it worked!! it's cheaper than using laundry stain removers and it makes the clothes look brand new again!! good luck!

I use Shout. I just spray everything at night when I take the clothes off and let it sit. I have used it forever and it seems to work really good. I also put in the washer 1/2 baking soda and 1 cup of vinegar and that helps to keep the cothes looking new.
