Need a Job near home..Rancho Cordova...Networking

I am a mother of four and a happily married wife. I work in Fairfield and commute every day to and from work from Rancho Cordova. The drive actually ends up being an hour and one half in the morning due to dropping children off at school. My daughter is getting ready to start softball and it looks like I will miss all of her games.
We recently moved back from Arizona as it didn't work out as we thought. I transfered within the company back to Sacramento, but didn't realize the commute would be so demanding. I am spending almost $400-$600 a month on gas...and that is just my car.
Basically, I am networking and wanting to know if anyone has any inside news in their company that is hiring in Rancho Cordova. I do not want to do MaryKay or anything like that. I need a pay to budget. If there is any help, I would greatly appreciate it.

Have you tried Vision Service Plan or Catholic Healthcare West? I don't know of any immediate openings but you might want to check their job lines. Good luck with your search.

I feel ya. I am a mother of four also. They all go to different schools in three different cities. We live in Rancho - I have one that goes to school in Carmicheal, one in Rancho and two in Folsom, but different schools. I can spend up to 3 hours a day just dropping kids off and picking them up if my husband can't help.

I wish I knew of something in Rancho Cordova. Have you looked in surrounding areas? Folsom, Fair Oaks or Orangevale? Temp agencies are a good place to look for perm work also.

I will keep an eye out for you and let you know if I hear anything. What type of work are you looking for?

I see that you nixed any network marketing companies. They really are the wave of the future. Computers and the internet make having a business like this a great opportunity. I have been reading some very good books researching this industry and I am sold. I have a job as a Systems Analyst and started a business around my existing job. The money is decent and I feel like I am taking control of my life vs. the other way. If you want to talk about what I have learned, let me know. Getting more information never hurts.
