Need a Good Preschool - Gilbert,AZ
My oldest is now four and I am in need of a good preschool. She has never been in daycare and I am a little nervous about sending her to preschool with perfect strangers. I would just like to her get used to going to school a couple days a week (in the morning) before she starts kindergarten next year. Any sugggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I would suggest either Trinity at University/Gilbert, or Red Mountain United Methodist at Power/McDowell.

You might look into the preschool program your local elementary school has. There is a good chance that if you send her there she will end up meeting friends she will be going to kindergarten with. Hope this helps.

My oldest is just finishing up her year in preschool. I too, was nervous about sending her to school with strangers. DD#1 is finishing up at Ladybug Learning Club. It's located at Hope Community Church on Park Village (just west of Val Vista) and Guadalupe. They do teach the children just a touch of religion, but it's so minute compared to everything else they are learning. My DD#1 has blossomed since starting preschool in August. I am still amazed at how her vocabulary has increased, social skills, thinking and problem solving skills, and just in the overall change in her! When DD#2 and DS get to be of age, I plan on sending them there as well.
I really like that the school requires parental involvement, and that they don't mind if I just drop by unexpectedly. If you want to check more into this preschool, here is the Web site:

Good luck!

I highly recommend Bridges, one on Apache Trail and Crismon; and one on Power and Brown. (I think a new one in Gilbert/ Queen Creek area?) They have morning classes either Tues, thurs; Mond, Wed, Fri; or every day. Very good for education and social skills. Helped my 3 year old become less of a baby and more of a big boy. Very knowledgable staff, all in college in the education field.

My son is finishing up his first year of preschool at Little Einstein's Preschool at Higley and Queen Creek. He went Tues and Thurs from 11-2 but they have morning classes also. All the teachers are certified and they are wonderful! My son just turned 4 in Feb and can already write his name and the entire alphabet! I love this school.

Desert Sun Preschool, http://www.desertsun.org/index.html. My granddaughter goes there and it is wonderful. She is four and will continue on with their kindergarten program. I love it because it is all about the child....they are wonderful. If you are looking for something that stresses academics for preschoolers, then this would not be the school for you.

Both of my daughters have attended Trinity Preschool and Kindergarten. My youngest daughter will be attending the pre-k program next year. They are located on University and Gilbert Rd. It is part of a Baptist church, but you don't have to attend. The classes are kept to a maximum of 15. The pre-K teacher is wonderful. The pre-k class is threem mornings a week. They encourage visitors and parents are wanted in the classroom! If you're interested their phone number is ###-###-#### and the director's name is Cindy Smith. I highly recommend them as they are a great introduction to school work.
