Need a Good Pediatrician at Santa Monica Medical Center (Or West LA).

I'm looking for a new pediatrician for my 3 year old daughter. I'm absolutely LOVE her current doctor(s) but they've just moved out of network and spending $140+ per appointment seems silly when it should cost $30 with insurance. We are in the Anthem (formerly Blue Cross) network. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I would prefer to see a doctor in the Santa Monica Medical Center facility near St. John's, or somewhere in west LA.

Dr. Marshall Sachs ###-###-####. Ucla Santa Monica Peds on SM Blvd. Definitly takes Anthem. There are 4 other Dictors all very nice, you can call to meet different ones until you find right fit.

The pediatric practice that my 17 month old goes to is Santa Monica Pediatrics. I believe they are a part of the UCLA Health System. As of July 2008, this practice accepts Anthem health insurance. Her doctor is Dr. Jutabha. However, all of the westside moms that I know have recommended Dr. Sharon Kaminker, who is also in that practice.

Try Dr. Jennifer Young or Dr. Denise Garvey at UCLA Healthcare in Brentwood. They are both AWESOME! Their phone # is ###-###-####. Call them and make sure they are an in-network provider with the insurance you have. If you have Blue Shield they may not be in your network due to the recent contract issues between UCLA and Blue Shield. Good luck! -S. =)

Try looking up Dr. Richard Levy in Santa Monica. My daughter was born at St. John's in 2000 and we've been with him ever since. No complaints :) good luck!

I second Richard Levy. On 16th between Arizona and Wilshire. His partner, Dr. Bourne is also quite good, and the office staff is REALLY good. Ask for Carla, the office manager.
