Need a Good Oven Clearn
Hi moms out there. I'm looking for a natural oven cleaner. I don't want to use something that is full of chemicals so I need some help from other moms who have found something natural that works well. Hopefully someday I'll have a self-cleaning oven! Thanks!

You could try a product called Awesome - It comes in a concentrated spray and is not smelly or toxic on skin at all. It is also a great price - Family Dollar carries it for $1.00 a bottle. I have used it on thick grease and it comes right off. You can also dilute it and use it for tons of other things.

I have used baking soda and water with AMAZING success! All you need to do is sprinkle water all over the inside of your oven, then sprinkle a good amount of baking soda over the water. You need to use a fair amount of water to make sure the baking soda is wet. Leave it sit overnight and it will wipe right off in the morning. I would not have believed how wonderfully simple and effective this was if I had not seen it with my own eyes! Good luck!

Hi R.,
I have been using a product called "Sour Off" for 20 yrs. It is great on my oven, sink, stove top, pots, pans, bath tub, gets crayon off toys and walls, stains off my countertops. It smells like cherries and it is totally non-toxic and earth friendly. check it out at my website:

It isn't the most non-toxic remedy , but I've used ammonia. Place an open dish of ammonia in the oven before bed and close the door. In the morning, you can just scrap most things off with a plastic scraper. The odors are overwhelming though - do it with the windows open. I've used baking soda paste also, but that takes more scrubbing.

Place a bowl of amonia in the oven and close the door, let it sit over night, in the morning the dirt and grease should just wipe away, have a bucket of hot water to rinse the rag out in though.
