Need a Good Female OB/GYN

I just moved to Richardson and I need to find a good OB/GYN. I want to see a female OB/GYN as I feel most comfortable with a woman. If anyone has any advice, I would greatly appreciate it. I can see someone also in Plano, or Dallas. I was recommended to see Dr. Yasmin Khan (Richardson), but don't know how good of a doctor she is. Also, I like an office that has more than one OB/GYN, just in case my doctor is out. Thanks!

What can I do next?

Dr. Lisa Umholtz at Medical Center of Plano (Coit and 15th)is wonderful. She has been my OB/GYN for 16 years, and I wouldn't think of seeing anyone else. Her number is :###-###-####

Hi S. and welcome to the area.

I have used Dr. Carol Norton at Richardson Regional Medical Center on Campbell near 75 as my GYN for over a decade. She was also my OB for my now 6 week old baby. I highly recommend her. The office number is ###-###-####.

I use Dr. Jean Ferrara in Plano. Her practice is Associated Women's Healthcare located at Coit and 15th street. Their practice has 4 doctors and they are all really good. I have seen all the doctors at least once. I have been a patient of Dr. Ferrara's for 6 years now, and she is about to deliver my 2nd child tomorrow. I have always been impressed with the practice's care and concern for their patients. They are across the street from Medical Center of Plano. Their website is www.associatedwomenshealthcare.com.

S., If you're willing to drive to downtown Baylor, my sister is an OB/Gyn at Baylor... Dr. LeAnn Haddock--Magnolia OB/Gyn.... She's assisted with both my deliveries and has an amazing business partner.. Dr. Kamilia Smith. She's the OB/Gyn on Good Morning Texas (Amy's OB/Gyn). ###-###-####.

I recommend Dr. Lisa Umholtz. She is at Medical City Plano (Coit and 15th). She is great and it's an all female practice. There are 4 doctors there I believe. They also don't overbook so you don't have to wait forever if you are on time for your appt which is great! ###-###-#### is her number.

Hi S.-

I feel the same way you do about having a female OB/GYN. I see Dr. Amie Napier she is with Advanced Women's Healthcare and I LOVE HER! The only thing is that she is located at Medical City of Dallas but she is so worth the drive. She is very understanding and listen to what you have to say also she doesn't rush your visits. She delivered my son 2 yrs. ago and will deliver my second son in June. I've seen all the doctors in her practice and all of them are just as nice as her. She has I believe 3 or 4 more women OB/GYN in her office with her. Her office number is ###-###-#### and her address is 7777 Forest Lane, Ste.331 Bldg. A oh also if for some reason she is out of the office they are pretty good with getting you in with one of the other doctors. Good Luck.

Dr. Khan delivered my two daughters. You will not find a kinder, more patient, more sensitive doctor anywhere. She'll answer all of your questions thoroughly. Her staff is wonderful, too. I think she's a gem of a doctor and a person. You will be a person, not a number at her practice.

Good luck!
