Need a Good Eye Cream

I'm not getting any younger! I'm starting to feel dryness under my eyes, it feels thin and I'm starting to get little bags. I really liked clinique all about eyes but feel bad spending $30 something on a tiny jar. I've tried olay definity and garnier but they don't feel thick enough, it just feels dry again in an hour. Any suggestions on what has worked for you? Thanks!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?™

Thanks JS ;) take your kid to the doctor would you? Lol

As I read the answers I had to laugh because so many want to sell you their product. I sell Avon too and not to knock Avon but I have found the best face and eye cream is plain hemoroid cream. You can find it at the dollar store. I read once that a actress used this to stay young and I tried it. It works believe it or not. Hope this helps.

Wanted to respond sooner - but I was having server problems!

St. Yves Eye Stress Gel is my miracle. It's inexpensive - it reduces swelling and softens wrinkles.
I also use it under my chin if my face seams puffy!

I like the MyChelle line that you can get at Super Supplements. The one for older skin with the pumpkin cleanser and repair creme really helps my dryness.

By the way $30 for a good jar of creme is not that expensive, believe it or not. I found really great cremes at $90 for 3 oz which I thought was outrageous. That I won't spend, but $30 is reasonable.

The other products I liked but don't use any more because I'm trying to be more careful about toxins, but I liked for dryness was Mary Kay. Their Formula 1 line was very hydrating. You get a lot for the money.

TJ,

Of course the many consultants out there are going to try to convince you that you need an expensive product that they sell because it's better...that's like saying one brand of clothing is better than another. There's simply too many varieties and personal preferences that impact our perceptions.

I've tried to switch from expensive department store skin care products to more natural, less expensive products. It's been fun to save money and try different products that are hopefully better for my skin. I've also been aware of pthalates and parabens in products and try to avoid them since I still plan on having more children and would like to avoid potentially dangerous chemicals.

If you want to find an around-eye cream that has fewer potentially harmful ingredients here's a link to a cosmetics database put together by the environmental working group...

There are hundreds of products out there! The EWG website is also very, very, very cautious...so I would probably use any product that had a green or yellow dot next to them, and avoid the red dots!

I use an apricot seed oil based lotion (i think it's by mychelle) and it's super inexpensive and lasts a long time. It's hard to find, but Super Supplements carries that brand, although I've had to buy sample sizes at times because they sell out of the larger jars.

I like Burt's Bees royal jelly eye cream. It's relatively inexpensive. A little goes a long way, and it's thick, so it lasts a long time.

I just wanted to let you know that if you decide to stick with Clinique they have a GWP soon and you should presale now because their prices are going up on Oct. 1st at Macy's. I just found that out today when I went to the counter for something.

TJ, I sell a product unlike anything else on the market. it is so new that it is not yet nationally marketed yet but does have a patent pending on it. It is called Naturella. It is 100% natural. It is a toner/ moisturizer all in one. It is the best stuff you will ever use. It has made my skin so smooth and even that I don't have to use foundation anymore. My neighbor has started using it after using olay regenerist for 5 years and said she will never use anything else. It has reduced the fine lines around my eyes to almost invisible. I am 43 and everyone thinks I'm 10 years younger. You can go to the website at naturellaskin.com and look at it. I am willing to send you a free sample to try if you are interested. let me know. J.

Jojoba oil is what I use for my face, under my eyes and on my body. I had a facial this weekend and I was told that my skin looks beautiful which was a surprise because I have a history of having very dry skin. Jojoba oil is less expensive than face/eye creams and natural. Most lotions have chemicals in them that are harmful for us. Jojoba is light and soaks in quickly so you are able to put on make up afterwards. Give it a try!

TJ,
Have you tried Avon's Anew products? I am an Avon Representative and I love our newest eye cream! It has a day and a night cream, separated in the jar and is the first and only product made for the eyes with SPF in it! No other company has created an eye cream with SPF! I would love to get you a sample. I have been using it for about a month now and I love the results. Fine lines and wrinkles are no longer as apparent and when I use the night cream, I wake up in the morning looking wide awake and alert already! Please email me if you'd like a sample: ____@____.com
