Need a Good Dentist and Orthodontist near Oakdale/Woodbury
I had a horrible experience with our Dentist today who was also suppose to be my daughters orthodontist. Needless to say we need to find somewhere else for our family to go. I would love to hear great experiences and even places to stay away from. Looking for something within about 10 miles of the Oakdale/Woodbury area.
Thanks so much in advance!!!!!

We have gone to Park Dental and are also considering switching dentists as we are unhappy with the dentist we have there. It is unfortunate, because the hygenists are wonderful and the staff is friendly. We dislike our dentist; we feel he is dishonest and our needs are not met. Not to mention, they do not do kids' teeth until they are over 3 yrs old! So I would recommend staying away from Park Dental. I have heard good things about City Walk dental and we are considering starting with them the next time we are due for a cleaning.

When I was a teenager I saw Dr. Eng for orthodontics, and I think that may be all that he does, not regular dental care- I looked up his site:

I went to the Ruth Street location [Ruth St. and 94- actually it's on the corner of Ruth and Suburban].
He was a great orthodontist and great with kids- he was "cool" from a kid's perspective so I actually listened to him and took care of my teeth. If my son ever needs braces, and he is still practicing at that time, I'd go back to him.
For regular care, off of Beam Avenue and Kennard in Maplewood [right across from Maplewood mall] is Community Dental Care- they have been great! Always very fast, friendly, and professional in my experience.

My whole family goes to Woodbury Dental Care. It is on route 19 just north of Lake. I don't know if that is too far from where you are but the dentists and hygenists are great. They are very patient with the kids (5 and 3)and are up to date on the latest in dental practices.
As a bonus the waiting room is great for the kids. They have a treehouse, coloring, video games, and computers with wireless for the adults. Although I must say I have never had to wait too long in the waiting room.

I go to Dr Amy Browning at Citywalk dental,Woodbury. She is very nice and an efficient dentist.she is patient and clears all my doubts and explains the treatment plan nicely. She also gave good reference for when I had to have dental surgery done to remove a wisdom tooth.Iam happy with her care. The dental hygienist is Gretchen who is also very good.
For my daughter I go to Pediatric dentist Greg Beinlich in valley crossing strip mall near woodbury drive. His Pediatric dentistry is very kid oriented and good.

Not in that area, but SO, SO worth the drive. I ADORE our pediatric dentist - Dr. Ellie Sakhi in Roseville. She's at The Dental Specialists.

Dr. Don Johnson with Woodbury Family Dentists is AWESOME! The dental assistants are amazing with kids. So patient. They are also reasonably priced and always friendly. Good luck!

Hi K.,
I absolutely love the pediactric dentist I found years ago. My daughter had a horrible experience prior to finding Dr. Glen of Dakota Childrens Dentistry. Not sure if that is too far from Woodbury but I drive from Eagan. Dr Glen even made my 2 1/2 year old son's first visit a good experience :) Hard to do at that age. He explains everything, makes the kids as well as parents feel very at ease. My daughter refuses to go anywhere else even though she is now 14 years old.
