Need a Dentist

Hello all, my son is 5 years old and he needs to see a dentist for the first time. He is a little nuts when it comes to meeting new people and sometimes will get out right stubborn with directions from strangers. He does not like "extra" attention from people. He is a little shy until he gets to know you. DOES anyone out there have a good childrens Dentist that they would recommend? I live across the street from NAS JAX and would like one near me. On this side of the Buchmann. Thanks!!

What can I do next?

So What Happened?™

Thank you sooo much everyone, After carefully researching all reccommendations, My insurance only covered one. Soo we went with Dr. Weaver and Straton on Kingsley, Thank you sooooo much. I got Nathan an appointment for April 10. Earlier than I thought I would. I LOVE MAMASOURCE!!

This may be a hike for you, but Dr. Martinez is a great pediatric dentist that is in Fleming Island. Her staff was great with my 5 year old and they are suited to handle all types of kids!

This might be a little bit further than you want to go but Myers Pedatric Dentist in Middleburg next to Clay County Authority is awesome!!! I took my daughter there for her very first cleaning and it was great. They have video games for them to play while they wait and while they're in the chair they can watch a movie on the screens on the ceiling. I don't have the number on my at this time but if you would like it I can get it for you.

Good Luck.

Hi N.,

I found a great pediatric dentist in Orange Park, not too far from you. You can find out all about them online - http://www.264kids.com/ - and I've been taking my two year old there and have been impressed. They do take the time to speak to you and your child and listen to your concerns. We see Dr. Weaver and he's great, but we would see anyone in the practice.

Good luck!

M.

I second the opinion on Dr. Myers, they're whole office is geared around kids, and its a father son office so Gary Myer's (the son) is planning on being there another 20 years or so. He could take your children all the way to adulthood. The office looks like a lighthouse and even has a boat inside for the kids to climb in. Its next to the Clay Utilities (water faucet) off Old Jennings Rd and Blanding Bv, just south of Knight Boxx Rd.
