Personally I am convinced that it doesn't really matter the brand as long as the baby is comfortable, the really issue is the length of time using one. Some babies never will take one. Try one, if he takes it great. Congrats on you having son number two. It is wonderful to have brothers. You'll have a house full on Tonka, Hot wheels and Star Wars! It is so much fun , mine are 3 and 6.

I would read what it's made of and compare it to the cheaper ones and see if there is any difference. If it is "organic" b/c it's BPA free then it's not worth it b/c pretty much every baby thing made of plastic or rubber is BPA free now (but check for label top make sure). People should never assume organic is better. Organic formula actually has a lot more sugar than regular formula for some reason so most pediatricians tell parents to steer clear of it. Also, organic standards have gotten very lax. Did you know the tainted peanuts came from a GA factory with the "organic" seal. So, just be a label reader and make good decisions rather than buying something just b/c it's organic.

I would wait to find out if your son is interested in one before buying any pacifier. Pacifiers can be a bad habit to break. Two of my daughters were never were interested in them. My oldest had one for her first year.

They are great, they are all I will let my little one use because they are the safest one out there. The other pacifiers smell funny, use Phylates and Biosphenal-A, why risk exposing your child to that?

They are very durable, just don't soak them in water for a long time.

I have never used one, but I am interested in them. I found them here: http://www.thisthatotherthings.com/naorpa.html for the lowest price out there. I have a 10-mo-old & another on the way. I figure it's worth the $9 if they do like it. I try to buy as many natural/organic/toxin free products as possible for my kids. They are totally worth it. It's not so much the BRAND that you are looking at. It's the fact that your baby won't be sucking on toxic rubber. Ever notice how some binkies smell like hot tires after a while!? GROSS!!!

I have not however I would suggest waiting to see maybe your baby will find it's thumb and whats more organic then that? Plus it's free & they never loose it. I know many people are against thumb sucking but both of mine were and since we never made a deal out of it my oldest stopped by 2 1/2 completetly even at night and my youngest just turned 1 right now I plan to be the same way. If you really want a paci I would think the organic would be good maybe you can just look up on the internet and see if there are less marketed organic paci that might be cheaper? if not just be sure not to get a real cheap 1 which might not only have toxic rubber but also a higher number plastic which are supposed to be toxic or lead paint on any design ect.
