Natural Deodorant
Hi Ladies.
I was wondering if any of you have found a natural deodorant that actually works for you?
I have tried a couple of kinds & am using the Crystal deodorant stick now, but I still find that my underarms stink sometimes when I use it.
I would love to hear if you have found something more effective.
Thanks!

So What Happened?™
I just wanted to say "Thank You" to all of you who responded to my request. I found your thoughts & suggestions helpful. It didn't even occur to me that it might be due to my pregnancy hormones (& I've only been using it since I've been pregnant). So I will definitely wait until my hormones get back to normal to make a final decision. I do wet the crystal before using, & I do have the spray on type too, but hadn't thought to use the 2 together. I tried that today & it seemed to work well.

I use the Crystal Roll-On. I used to use the crystal stick but had odors later in the day (usually only on one side.)
I also use Kiss My Face active enzyme™ peaceful patchouli. I like the scent of it and it seems to work well too.

I have been uses Avon 24 hour plus(the original scent) for 10 years. Before then, I would have BO after 5 (and I am not a sweaty person) I can go 2 days without re-applying. (I DONT sell avon by the way). They only cost .99 per bottle too so if you dont like it, its not like you are out 3 or 4 bux
Good luck.

With natural deodorants, the most important aspects are the scents (best is unscented or natural scents caused by oils instead of perfumes) in order to avoid parabens, and also avoid the anti-perspirants (tip: if the deodorant does not list its ingredients, it's because the makers don't want you to know what's in it). I love the Arm & Hammer Baking Soda deodorant. My husband likes Seventh Generation brand, but I think it's a bit sticky. I use the crystal as well, on particularly hot days and sometimes I even put the Baking-soda deodorant over the crystal to kind of doubly protect.
However, while you're pregnant, your hormones make you sweat differently. I used the Baking Soda deodorant while I was pregnant, but it was less effective then (in the dead of winter) than it was in the heat of summer when I was not pregnant

I have used Arm & Hammer for the past 3 or so years and am happy with it. I found it at Meijer's and it goes by the name "Arm & Hammer Essentials Natural Deodorant" I get the 'Fresh' one. It is aluminum and paraben free. I have tried the crystals in the past and I was NOT impressed with them but that may just be me. GL

I also use the Crystal deoderant stick...I haven't had probably with it stinking...do you wet it first before applying? Also, I did find at CVS a Crystal spray. It's the same thing only in a spray form and I like it very well....my problem is that I can't always find the spray.

I like the TOM's brand deoderant (without antipersperant) but I have found that I need to apply it more often.

I use the Crystal deodorant stick. I was experiencing some odor later in the day. Just a couple weeks ago, I was reading on another board that someone uses the Crystal body spray on her underarms in addition to the stick. I have tried it and have not had any odor later in the day.
Another suggestion is to make sure that you are applying the stick to a much larger area than you normally would regular deodorant.
