You know, I think the name Joan is so underrated for it's simple beauty.
I know someone named Joan Mary and she is without a doubt the most fabulous woman.
I love the name Melody.
No one ever names their kids that.
I never get flowers for suggesting it.
I still love it.
:)
Best wishes!
Names can be so hard to choose.
I know you will find the perfect comination.

As Leigh suggested - Joan as her first name!!!! There wont be 5 other Joans in her classes all through school. I love "old" names ! If I have a DD I'm pretty positive her name with be Theresa Marie Lee :-) (Theresa is my grandmother, Marie is my SIL middle name and Lee is my mother and godmothers middle name) and I will call her Tess !!! LOL
Congrates on the Baby Girl !!!

Reading through the prior postings, a multi syllable name ending in a long e sounds good with Joan, i.e. Bethany, Avery, Naomi.

3 syllables sound good as a first name with a one syllable middle name.
I like:
Lillian
Amara
Michaela
Samantha
Erica
or Jillian if you like the two J's together (I think it's cute, myself!)
