Naked Baby, Help!
My 18 month old son takes his diaper off all the time, he's naked in the morning and after naptime and sometimes a few more times a day, he just doesn't seem to want them on anymore. He does sit on the potty a few times a day but has yet to go in the potty. I have tried everything, from pull ups to underwear, onsies to overalls, he has figured out how to get that diaper off regardless. I am so tired of washing sheets and cleaning floors, although i do have to say he has pretty good aim, he usually pees on the diaper he just took off, only on the outside of it not inside, so it rolls right off. Have any of you had experience with this? My older two never did this so i am clueless. any advice or suggestions would be great, until then, i will be washing and scrubbing.

My next door neighbor had the same problem. She used a type of reusable diaper with connectors to close it in the back. I think they may have been Fuzzibuns. It worked more than half of the time and set about potty training to finish it off.

I had the same problem with my oldest girl. I would put her diaper on backwards worked for a few days then I also did the duck tape, just make sure you tape all the way around so the ends of the tape overlap otherwise my daughter would find the end and unwrap it and make an even bigger mess.
Best of Luck I know this was not a fun expereince for me!

A friend of mine had the same problem. She used to put the diaper on backwards, and duct tape it closed. I guess you have to do what you have to do. I have heard that if you're serious about potty training, and you think he's ready, to let them run around naked for a couple days. If they start to go, immediately sit them on the potty, and give them a big reward for doing so, whether or not they actually get anything in the potty. Eventually they'll get it and want to sit and go on the potty just to get the reward.
Good luck!

Sounds weird, but I have heard that duct tape works well.

This may be the worst suggestion ever, but I had a friend with the same problem, and so she used duct tape around the top of the diaper each time she changed it. I'm sure it was loose enough for the baby to be comfortable, but it stopped the problem altogether. Good Luck!

I have had 3 kiddos.
#1 didn't do this. BUT we did start potty training him at 19mos. He was able to run around the house with a long t-shirt on and pee pee int he potty by about 21 mos. Wearing diapers when we went out.
#2 and #3 do this and I got just some white Gerber onsies. They can't seem to get the snaps at the crotch undone. It might work.
Good Luck.

Duct tape his diapers. Put the diaper on him and then start the duct tape on the back and bring it all the way around and end it in the back.. remember not on his skin...
He is only doing this because he figured out how.. This does not mean he is interested in potty training at 18 months.
It is like his new trick..

He's too young for potty training, so you may just have to keep telling him to keep his clothes on. He may just be trying to be like his older siblings but missing the point in his exuberence. I know that my son wanted to go outside before he wanted the potty, and he never wanted to actually potty in his potty chair, just play with it.
My pediatrician told me she has seen parents who have had to duct tape their son's diaper on!!
Best of luck! Remember, this too shall pass...
