Nail Polish on Furniture

Is it dried on or soaked in? If on, can it be gently picked off and then brushed to return the plushness to the fabric? If it's soaked in, try testing in an inconspicuous spot if the fabric will bleed with a bit of nail polish remover. A professional cleaner might be able to get it out (like Stanley Steemer or somesuch type of in-home service). They may need to be reupholstered, although that may be costly. Finally, there's always decorative blankets as a last resort... Good luck!

We got nail polish all over our carpet yesterday (great thing when you are trying to sell your house) Our carpet is lighter in color and we were able to use nail polish remover and quite a bit of water and it got it right up. Clean it with a fabric cleaner after.
Im not sure what to do if you couch is darker. Maybe try a smaller spot.

I would let it completely dry and try picking it off. Or scraping it off.
Not too aggressively though. You don't want to wear a hole in it.
I hope it comes off.

What I have done is start with nail polish remover but make sure it doesn't discolor the sofa. Then to rid the color goof off, again make sure it doesn't take out the color.

You may have to follow up with dawn since goof off is oil based and will leave that oil mark.
