Hi ladies. I know most of us have gone through this at some point, but I am at my witts end. I am over the weight that I was when I walked into the delivery room. I really dont' eat that bad.....BUT I don't do ANYTHING!!!! I was a fitness instructor for 2 years, (a perfect size 5 AFTER having my daughter) but as soon as I quit that job I piled on 105 pounds in 13 months time. (The first 80 pounds in about 6 months) I have to do something and I want to start something small and steady that I can stick to. So I would love to have a walking buddie in the evening. Someone that we can take our kids and let them play at the park while we walk or let them walk with us or whatever. (I do not have anyone to watch Haylee while I exercise on a steady basis) I live in South Arlington, right off of Park Springs. If anyone is close to that area and would be interested in walking around 7-7:30 pm at night I would greatly appreciate the company and the accountability partner!!!!!!

What can I do next?

I am a HUGE propoponent of Weight Watchers. When I started, I was nursing and just incredibly busy, and exercise just wasn't happening (other than walks on nice days). But, the weight still came off fairly quickly. My husband started WW this summer and has had great results as well, and it's been more about diet than exercise.

I've tried several diets, and just general "eating healthy," but it took WW for me to really understand portion sizes and log the food that I ate to ensure I didn't overeat. Because sure, a chicken breast is healthy, but a serving is half of one, and I never did that!

I've been there - and found that diets don't work for me. I changed my way of life last year and have lost all the weight I was aiming to lose - without dieting or excess exercise.

I'm open to chatting with anyone who would like to know more and is ready to take action in changing their lifestyle too.

hi K.,
if you didn't find a walking partner-you might try the rec
centers in arlington. the one that is go to-cliff nelson-
has babysitting both in the mornings and evenings. after i
work out there is a park/pond and trail to take the kids to
as a "reward" for staying w/the babysitter.
good luck!

Hi K.
I too would love to find someone to walk with. I don't have anyone to watch my son so that I can exercise. Email me and let me know if you are interested. I live in S. Arlington off of Cooper (right before Sublett).
Thanks

Hi K.,

I am right there with ya sista....lol. Until my 11 yr old was about 3-4, I was no larger than a size 12, now I don't even want to go there. I would be more than happy to walk with you. I actually take karate at our church on Thursday nights & that helps alot. I live off of 20 & Little Road, so we are very close. I also don't eat alot of sweets, as a matter of fact i think other than natural sugars I usually only have sugar in my coffee & my soda's....sooooo bad. I am wanting to have an accountability partner also. I tried something with one of the ladies from work, but we only saw & spoke M-F, so that didn't help much. So if you want to email me at ____@____.com we can talk & decide what's best for us. Can't wait to walk the weight off.
