I use to take my daughter to Mercy Pediatrics located in the St. John's medical building, but I was not happy with the care provided. I now take my daughter to St. Louis Pediatric Associates. Dr. McKinney is great with her. There are also 8 other drs. there. They have office hours on sat. Here is the link you can read about the doctors. http://www.stlpeds.com/ouroffice.shtml
Also if you can have you baby anywhere else besides the baby factory (St. John's) I would. I am one of the horror stories and will never have a baby there again. In fact I wouldn't let my dog have babies there either.

Hi C., You will do great with your new baby! We have gone to a lot of pediatricians due to our insurance changing, etc. The best I have found is Joel Koenig at Town and Country Pediatrics ###-###-####. They are located at Mo.Bapt Medical building. I have always felt really comfortable there and that he was giving me good information and advise with my kids. Whenever there on a visit, he always washes his hands upon seeing one of my kids. None of the other pediatricians I have seen do that. A good rule to follow, I think. I also consider the sex of the child. I like to have an office with male and female doctors/nurse practitioner so that as my child grows if he/she would feel more comfortable with a doctor of the same sex, I have that option. You can always make a short appt. just to meet them and ask any questions you may have. God's blessings to you and your new babe. Relax and enjoy each day - it goes way too fast.

I can't sing the praises of our pediatrician enough: Dr. W. Gary Sherman. He spends so much time with the kids and always answers our questions. The staff is friendly and always know who we are. ###-###-#### on New Ballas near St. Johns (also an amazing hospital)

Whomever you choose, I recommend interviewing them. We did, and that is how we know we've got the best pediatrician for our family's needs.

Good luck, and enjoy parenthood!

Dr. David Hartenbach at Esse Health Pediatrics. His office is on Studt Rd (near Olive and Ballas) ###-###-####. He is very laid back and ALWAYS available to answer my questions.

Make sure you meet with these pediatricians prior to your delivery - there is usually no charge for your 'interview' visit. You need to feel very comfortable with this doctor as you will be seeing him/her for many years!

Good Luck!

Dr. Jennifer Arter at Blue Fish Pediatrics in Des Peres. She's awesome, we even drive out there from the CWE (she moved, she was in Clayton) and I've seen either one or both of the other drs. in the practice and they all seem good. It's right near West County Mall.

Hi C.,

Congrats on your pregnancy! I would LOVE to recommend our pediatrician. Her name is Sara Ayers at Suburban Pediatrics. They are located on North New Ballas (at Olive and New Ballas). She also goes to St. John's Mercy and Childrens's Hospital. Their number is ###-###-####. The staff there is wonderful. I would recommend all of the nurses/doctors we have seen in the office. Dr. Ayers has helped us through some difficult times, including the death of our youngest son to SIDS, and always been very supportive and compassionate. Good luck with your decision!

We go to Dr. Ken Levy at Woods Mill Pediatrics. There are 3 doctors in the office and a nurse practitioner. The office is at St. Luke's Hosital, in the West building. We've been there for about 10 years.
