You can go on www.greatschools.net and find what any school in Texas is rated, that helped us make the decision on where to live. It does cost a little to join but well worth it to see the ratings and opinions of others. We moved to Lewisville from South Dakota and my 8yr old goes to Parkway Elem, great school so far.

I don't know your budget or if you are looking to rent or buy but my house is for sale in Rowlett (easy access to George Bush) which is a great place to raise a family. I am directly down the street from a brand new elementary school. I love my home and I am sad to leave because it was our first home and I have a three year old daughter who has only lived here. My husband is a football coach and I teach preschool. We would love to move so my husband can be closer to school. You may can afford more than our house but see the link below to check it out. We just moved to Allen and it is great we love it! Our son is only 2 1/2 and does not attend any schools yet, but everyone that has kids in school raves about the schoold district and how great it is. Allen is supposed to be one of the best ones in the DFW area.

Anne Frank Elemenary is in DISD, and is rated Exemplary based on their students' TAKS test scores. This is one of the BEST elementary schools in Dallas...I looked into driving my 4 y.o. there for preschool, but its just too far for us.
