My Little Pony

I need help with developing a unique invitation for my daughter's 4th birthday party. She wants a My Little Pony theme now and I would like to do something a little more creative than just a store bought card invitation. There will only be 5 girls (but only 2 homes since there are two groups of sisters) and the party will be at our home, so I can spend a little more than I normally do on the invitations, but I'm at a loss as to what to do. I want it to really get the girls excited and provide the information needed. Any ideas? Also, should each girl get one, or should I make a single invitation for the whole family? All of the girls attending are 4-5yrs old. TIA.

What can I do next?

Since your invitee list is so small, why not actually use My Little Ponies as the invites? You can buy either the little ones or a package of the big ones to save some money. You could just print details on a piece of paper and wrap around the neck or a leg with a ribbon, then hand deliver them. So, girls get something in advance... Have fun!

I make and decorate cookies. You could do a three inch fluted cookie in the color of your daughter's theme, and then we could attach a very cute invite to the cookie bag.

You can check out my work at www.zephyrcakes.com

Good luck with your party!

I would get real MLP's and tie an invitation on them since the list is so small?

Please write me separately, I designed Invitations for my daughter's skate party. They were personalized for each child and a lot more fun than the store bought generic ones. All you need purchase is the cardstock and I will make them...I will even download My Little Pony Art for them for you...

Let me know if you would like to go this way...I can print up a design or two or three for you to approve before I print them up..

Also, with so few being invited, I would absolutely give each girl their own.. And if there is enough time I would mail them..Kids this age LOVE getting mail with their own name on it!!

Make a word document clipping graphics of my little pony from a website and add all of the particulars of the party, and maybe a pic of your daughter in a my little pony top or something. Then print it on photopaper, or cute stationary. Put in a large white envelope and put pony stickers on it. The dollar tree stores have the pony stickers. I would only send one per household. There is a website called verseit.com and it has alot of neat verses for children's invitations (and other occasions too). Good luck.

My husband creates custom invites, he has done a wonderful job with my son's invites incorporating the theme with his picture. He makes them on regular photo paper 4X6. How many do you need and what is your budget? I can talk to him about this if you are intrested. I can send you a sample.

I think it would be nice but not nessisary to give each girl there own invite. Look up my little pony coloring pages on the web and get your girls to color pictures. You can shrink them to fit a folded paper, add glitter, stickers, jewles and what ever else is fun and girly. Have fun.

Hi W., I teach pre-k so I am very aware of the little social activities of girls at this age! Each girl should get her own invitation. If you have a program on your computer for creating cards/invitations, perhaps you could make one with clues to a treasure hunt for the girls to do once they get to your house. You will have to organize and set it all up ahead of time, but kids at this age love things like this. You could also make a My Little Pony themed tea party and have the girls dress up in long dresses and hats for "tea" and party cake. If you do not have a program on your computer, you can hand -make invitations and use pretty decorations that are sold for photo scrapbooks on the invitations. If you have pics of the girls, they could also be incorporated into these invites. Oh yes, also, there is something I have been using called Smilebox from Hallmark. You can do any kind of card on the computer with this system. You put in photos and the cards come out great . There is even a huge selection of music to choose from for these and they are free- with advertizements , or very cheap without . Set up some simple games for the kids to play once they arrive. Then, let them have fun on their own. Have fun. J. K.

I am not very crafty but the one thing I do okay is make photo albums (not scrapbooking but the ones you cover) - it's easy enough for me. So what about mini photo albums covered in My Little Pony print fabric. You can make the first insert be the details of the party. Then make sure to take lots of pics so that you can send copies for each girl to fill their album. Good luck.

Make an invitation for each girl--not each household. I'm a mom of twins and know that my girls appreciate being treated as individuals.

How much fun. I know there are many ideas., the made cards as home are usually more creative. Other thought would send actually my little ponies with a invitation attached, make a invitation with needed information and attach it to the ponies, each child would get one, and this could also be part of there goody bag.

Or other thought, print out a my little pony picture and have the ponies have a bubble, telling the invited child what is to come (the party information). Just thoughts. Best wishes, anything will please each child. We parents over think all these parties. Each year my girls say, "this is the best party every!"

I did this last year. I thought the My Little Pony invites were ugly, so I made my own. I went to the website and got a picture of pinkie pie, my daughters favorite and printed it on the cards. I got glitter glue and decorated the card. They turned out really cute. Much better than the ones that go with the line. For some reason the plates and stuff that went with it were cute but the invites were ugly. Get your daughter to help and add her wn special touch.
