My Children Keep coughing....is There Something Going Around?

My friends daughter had similiar symptoms several weeks ago. She started out by coughing and running a fever, and then woke up in the middle of the night with something akin to an asthma attack. My friend rushed her to the emergency room, where she was diagnosed with croup. My friend was given some medication for her daughter and told the symptoms would subside within two days. The emergency room doctor made the comment that she had seen five other cases the same night with croup. I don't know if this is croup or not, but you may want to take them in to see their pediatrician just in case.

Hi A.. My two oldest kids have a cough as well..and there is the whoopin cough goin around but not to worry....Give them some cough medine...I give my kids Childrens Cold Cough and sore throat..it helps...I hope the best for you and especially your sons case with Asthma..my daughter has it as well and it is not a fun situation..it is soo scary! well I hope my advice helps..let me know what happens. We just had my son at the doctor Tuesday and he said walking pneumonia, RSV and the croup are all going around right now. I would have him looked at more closely by his pediatrician.

Hi, my son asthma always flares up in the fall we use pulmoqort sp?. He always has cough on and off because of the asthma. Also if he was running a fever usually he gets pnemonia. Make sure everyone gets plenty of rest drink lots of water and some OJ. When your body sleeps this when it try to heal. If you have more questions. My email is ____@____.com

My husband has had a cough for about a week. He also said a lot of people in his office are coughing, including his boss, which has been coughing for 3 weeks now.

My older son often will cough for about three weeks after he has a cold.

Have you tried humidifiers in the bedrooms at night?
