My Belly with Twins...

Hi I had twin boys and I was sick too. I started to show about 5 months don't worry it will happen and it won't stop

I have 2 1/2 year old twin girls and they were my first "succesful" pregnancy. I didn't really start to show with them until around 18-19 weeks. I too was worried about not showing but boy when I started it didn't stop! I gained a total of 60 pounds but they were worth every pound. I also didn't feel them move until around 22 weeks either and that was a concern for me also but they finally started and never quit, even now! So good luck to you.

I don't have twins, but I've had 2 children and didn't start wearing maternity clothes until around 20 weeks with either one...

I am a mother with 4 yr old twins. I didnt start showing until 2.5- 3 months. Enjoy your belly now because after the 3 months you start really growing. When i was about 51/2 months i was measuring as an 8 month pregnant lady with a single infant. Hope that helps.

I just gave birth to twin boys 13 weeks ago. I was still in my regular clothes until about 15-16 weeks. I agree with everyone else...each pregnancy is different...in a couple of weeks you are going to wonder where your feet are!!

I am 12 weeks pregnant as well...not with twins, but I have a 6 month old, so the doctor told me I'd probably show really quickly because my stomach muscles had no time to return. I haven't started showing either. Just enjoy it!

I don't have twins but with my second daughter pregnancy was soooo different than my first. I actually only gained 5 lbs with my second daughter, eating just made me sick. So I ate enough to keep us healthy and never really showed, wore my regular clothes until she was born at a day shy of 37 weeks. (strechy waist shorts of course.) My point is if your going to the dr and they check out fine, don't worry about it, like someone said every pregnancy is different.

I have twins and I did not start really showing until about 5 months. Once I "popped" it didn't stop! Congrats on your twins, they are such an amazing blessing.

Enjoy not gaining why you can, My cousin was carrying twins, She didnt show right away either, But when she did lol , she started showing fast. Hang in there, You will be fine. God Bless you, and your 2 bundles of joy. :)

CONGRATS on your twins! every woman grows differently. there are "by the book" stats that say what is and is not perfectly average. what you will likely find is that you may be small now but in a few months you will "pop out" like many moms do. You will also find that it will depend on how the babies are laying. If they are on top of each other your uterus will be long and tall. if they are laying side by side youll stick WAY out... depends on their position. twins are miraculous to watch grow. You are fine. The babies will get what they need from you. it is most important you get what you need. try not to worry about weight gain so much. just do your best to eat healthy and nourish yourself in every way you can. I didn't show until I was 4 1/2 months. I was worried too, but you sould be fine.

I had twins back in February of 2005 and my belly wasn't that big either at 12 weeks. Give it time and enjoy it while it lasts - they will grow and so will your tummy! Just to be safe though, have you had an ultrasound? They check the weight and height of the babies at that time so you can rest easy that they are growing and healthy. In meantime, rest as much as you can because a pregnancy of twins is nothing compared to a single pregnancy - it's much harder and you will feel more tired than ever. I had the same situation as you but my oldest daughter was 7 months old when I got pregnant with the twins and I had to lug her up and down the stairs and carry her just about everywhere! Good luck!

dont worry at all when i was pregnant with my twins i didnt start showing until i was about 4 months. prior to that no one could really tell that i was pregnant. after that fourth month i just started growing and i was so big that when people saw me they would say "are you having twins" i was nothing but stomach. i got so big just looking at me you could tell that i could be having twins. its nothing to worry about.

Everyone is different in the aspect of when they start showing. For example, I started showing before I was 3 months regardless of which pregnancy it was, but my sister-in-law on the other hand has a smaller body type and was able to hide it until she was in her 5th month. I wouldn't worry about it. I bet when you get further along feeling them kick would be interesting. Good Luck and take it easy, Jen
