Hi All! We will be moving to Phoenix in the spring and are so bewildered by all the different areas there are to live! My husband will be working in the Biltmore area (51 and Camelback) and we don't want a horrendous commute for him. We like North Phoenix and are looking to rent either a townhouse or home. Any suggestions on areas? Thanks so much!

What can I do next?

Biltmore area is beautiful but kind of spendy. do you have kids? Madison school district is great which is down there. North of that has some spotchy areas. check zips 85085 and 85086. a little further away from his work but beautiful and very family orienated. Maybe head into south scottsdale. Check zip codes 85257 and 85251.

Good luck, let me know if you have any other questions.

Welcome to the Valley! Not sure how old your kids are, but I strongly suggest finding your school and then looking for a home within a reasonable distance. There is a HUGE range of educational options in the Phoenix area, from excellent to pathetic. There are some great neighborhoods just north of the Biltmore area in Arcadia. There are also some great areas in the Paradise Valley/Desert Ridge area (right off the 51). It used to be that anything west of about 50th street was sketchy, but there are really great neighborhoods in Glendale now. Probably the most popular new area for families right now is in Gilbert, but that is a heck of a commute.
Feel free to PM me any addresses that you are looking at, I can give you more specific feedback :)

werentaz.com is a place to start to find a rental.

You are moving into a very expensive area to live for AZ
But North Phx is also pricey and a very good place to live.
Good schools and all. But it would be a little bit of a communte.
20 to 30 min. depends where and how far north.

I am not perfect at stuff, but feel free to PM me and I will give you my
number if you need some help.
