I take my son to Doctor Placencia at 1960 Pediatrics on Cypresswood. She is a great pediatrician. She spends the extra time with you and makes sure that all your questions and concerns are answered. 1960 Pediatrics is a subsidiary of The Texas Children's Hospital. I am not sure what part of Houston you are moving to, so you can log on to their website to find a location close to you. Their website is www.texaschildrenspediatrics.org

What part of Houston are you moving to? My daughters pediatrician is in The Woodlands. We live a little south of Spring but it is worth the drive. Dr. Haggerty is great. She listens to what I have to say and answers my questions plus has small kids herself. I love the way she plays with my daughter. The waiting room is split into sections for sick and well visits. The staff in the office is really nice and they make you feel right at home. If you take her to the office be sure to bring a picture to hang on the wall.

I take my son to Humble Pediatrics in Atascocita. We see Dr. Gilfoil. He's really good and is always upfront with what he is thinking. They are also affiliated with Texas Childrens'.

I absolutely LOVE my son's pediatrician. His name is Dr. Abbas Kapasi. He is near 1960 and I45 area ( actually on Nanes ), and he is affliated with the Texas Children's Hospital system. His office staff is great, too! When you call with a concern or question you eith actually get the nurse on the phone or their policy is to return your call within 1 hour. Truthfully, it is usually within 15 minutes. It is never a problem to get in to see him if you need to either which is nice. My son recently had a staph infection and Dr. Kapasi had to lance it and really get it all out ( it took 4 adults to hold him down) and it was very traumatic for my 4 yr old. By the end of the visit he hugged Dr. Kapasi. That speaks volumes to me!! In fact, every time he sees an ambulane or someone is sick he thinks they are going to Dr. Kapasi so he can make them all better. As you can tell, I can't say enough about him!! Good luck! I would be glad to pass along his # if you are interested!
