While I have not visited Pune, I have been to India. Parts of it are wonderful. There is good info on Pune through a site you may have already seen http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pune but maybe that will help a bit. It looks very industrialized, so you won't be living in the middle of nowhere...that's good. And it looks like they have great weather (you can avoid the Texas heat for awhile). Is your husbands company giving you a relocation package? If so they will help you with info like that. Also if they provide you with a real estate agent they will have tons of info on schools, areas, culture etc. (I use to work for a relocation company and I moved people all over the world) Good luck!
