Morning Sickness - Sterling Heights,MI

Okay, I am only 7 weeks into my first pregnancy but seriously. Is there anything that can help with "morning sickness"? It should be called three straight months of sickness and puking. From the time I wake until I go to bed I feel like hell and heave or puke all of the time. It is hard to work (I am a teacher and puking freaks my students out) or maintain a civil conversation when I am gagging all of the time. All smells make me vomit, even the smell of my house. I have had the windows open for almost a week now and still, nothing. Any help?

What can I do next?

Congrads...When I was pregnant the crackers always seemed to help me. It even helps now when my stomach is upset.

Hey C.-

I took half a Unisom every night before I went to bed - that seemed to help a lot with the sickness. It was approved by my Dr.

Vitamin B-6! My Dr. told me to take 25mg of it and it was the only thing that helped me with my third pregnancy. It also gave me a little bit of energy to take care of the other kids and the house.Hope ya feel better soon!

I'm assuming you've already heard this at some time. But it wasn't mentioned, so what the heck. Have you tried nibbling saltine crackers?

I used peppermints. I've also heard that ginger tea works well. Eating healthy is very important to keep your stomach stable. If you can't eat in the morning try a drink like Ensure or Slimfast to get some nutrients in your body and then small meals. No grease. Try to experiment with all sorts of smells until you find one that can calm your sickness when needed. Try to find a lotion or perfume that you can whip out and put on when you feel the "urge". Hope this helps--it'll go away eventually:)

I am 17 weeks pregnant and ginger pills really helped. You can find them at GNC stores and they are the all-natural dramamine. It does get better! Good luck!

Congrats! Eating really helps-- try eating small amounts of very bland food all day. Crackers (I used to eat triskets) are good and I would drink vernos. Be careful with tea some kinds are not good for pregnant women to drink. Also, I used motion sickness bands. They are bracelets with a pressure point that pushes on your wrist. You can get them at any drug store. They really helped me.

Good luck.

C.,
My sister was the same way and her dr told her to take a childrens chewable (like flinstones) vitamin in the morning, she did and it worked????? Never made sense to me but could be worth a try

eat cracker(saltines) and drink warm flat coke. due the crackers before you get out of bed in the morning. you could also try dramamine. I had morning sickness for like 5 or 6 months with my first and these are all the things that the doctor told me to try. Good luck it will all be worth it in the end!
