Monitor Suggestion

I have a monitor that I have been happy with - Fisher Price Lights and Sounds. I'm having another baby in November and just want to add another sensor (or whatever it is called) to the baby's room so that I can flip between channels to hear both of them on the same receiver. Hoping that made sense.... So, my questions are: 1. Can I just buy another sensor of the same brand and it will work with my current two receivers? or 2. Is there one out there that comes with two sensors that you recommend?

What can I do next?

honesty I found that the baby and I both got more sleep without a monitor. if he really needed me, I always heard him

I had the FPL&S monitor for my first child. When my second child came I got another one. It looked basically the exact same but the second one never got the same reception quality of the first one. I don't know if it's b/c they interfere with each other or what. Sometimes it's static I hear and sometimes it's just loud interference. It's not all the time just occassionally so I wouldn't not recommend getting this brand again but wanted to let you know ahead of time that if your's does it you're not alone. I have two bases, one in each room (channel A for the older kid and channel B for the younger), and four monitors, one for each kid in the living room and one for each kid in the bedroom. I keep them on their different channels all the time. You can switch channels with this brand on one monitor and hear them but b/c the bases have to be on different channels it sounds better to use to two monitors. Hope this helps.

I have twins and bought the Summer video monitor w/ two cameras/sensors. You can use them in two rooms or the same room and hear everything and see it as well. I had to order it online from Babies R Us. Its been great and worked well for 3 years now.

You can buy 1 monitor & place it in the middle of both rooms & it has the strength to pick up sounds both places. I can hear my neighbors children... those monitors have great range.

i also have the lights and sounds. i got another one w/ just one monitor for our 2nd son and i keep 2 in our bedroom on each channel,, but take the 3rd one for downstairs and switch between channels...it works great.

That was my dilemma not having a monitor is not an option in our house because our h-vac system is right outside our bedroom door. It looks like some people have had luck with the channel switching thing but I ended up just getting another monitor, the Sony 900Mh Baby Call - this one has several channels to switch, I figured it would be easier to find something without interference with several channel options. There is a Graco monitor out there that has 2 child units and 2 parent units, but most reviews said it didn't work very well.
