My son has that too, in the same spot. It comes and goes, but what we have found to work is a couple things-one is vaseline, put it on in the morning before her socks or at night before bed if she is wearing footie jammies. I've found that what works even better is an excema cream for kids--you can get it at Target, I think it is called Naturally Gentle..it's got a seafoam green cap and winnie the pooh on it. If I use that consistently he doesn't usually have a prob. at all.

I heard that "hand foot and mouth disease" is going around. It could be that.

If vaseline doesn't work I would take her to the pediatrician to rule out any type of infection.

Best of luck.

Could be a fungus. They have over the counter creams but I wouldnt suggest them for young children. Call her Pediatrican and get an appointment.

My son experienced extremely dry patches on the top of his hands. His pediatrician told us to use Aquaphor because it doesn'thave any alcohol in it to dry his skin even more. It worked great!

Perhaps vaseline or athlete's foot creams? I've also used Desitin and Hydrocortizone 1% on many rashes successfully.

It is most likely a fungus if it is dry and cracked and between the toes. I'd buy some Clortrimazole (spelling?) and apply a small amount twice a day for 2 weeks and it should go away. It was recommended by a pediatrician for diaper rash and yeast infections on my daughter when she was a baby, so it's safe. I'd put socks on her just to make sure she doesn't try to eat it, though. Good luck!
