Moms with 2+ Kids... Gear for 2Nd Baby

I have a 2 year old and I'm due for #2 in february.

Other than a double stroller is there anything I *need* for #2?

They're the same gender so I have clothes and decor and all that. My 2 year old's in a bed so I don't need to worry about 2 cribs, and he sits in a regular chair at his little table to eat and doesn't need a high chair so that's free for the new kid.

Am I good to go or is there anything else I need?

***It looks like a lot of you guys think I need a baby carrier. I have 3 different ones, but because of my back problems I can't use them! :*( Looks like I'm really gonna be in trouble this time around! Ouch!

What can I do next?

I saved everything from my first and didn't use much. I still had to buy clothes because they were born opposite times of year and not much was appropriate for the weather. I put off getting a double stroller as long as I could. I put it to good use but did not use it very long. I agree with the carrier. Plus maybe some new bottles and feeding stuff to replace the old stuff.

get a diaper bag you can wear across your chest or a backpack. Shoulder bags are tough when you have your hands full.

My children are only 11 months apart so a little different but one of the best things I did was buy a second bouncy seat to keep in the bathroom. I know it sounds a little crazy but you never wanna leave the baby in the same room as your toddler even for a second so I kept an extra bouncy seat in the bathroom to avoid hauling it back and forth.

Your good to go...Good Luck and enjoy.....:)

Just a thought, if you haven't bought your double stroller yet. I wish I would have spent more money on my double stroller for our twins; I think you definitely get what you pay for, and our was super heavy and hard to maneuver since we purchased a low-end one.

I agree with the 2nd bouncy seat; if it didn't sound so crazy, I would have put one in every room! :)

Congrats and enjoy!

maybe a booster chair for the dining room so that your older child can transition put of a high chair. Also make sure your diaper bag is large enough to accommodate the needs of 2.

probably bottles if you plan to bottle feed , and regular supplies such as diapers, binkies, etc..

You may find it's easier just to use a baby carrier rather than the huge double strollers.

That's the only thing that comes to mind. I found we needed far less gear second time around.
