Moms Seeking Inexpensive Weekend Away

Well I have the perfect place for you and your friends, I am the same way, my friends and I are big scrapbookers and we always try a couple times a year to go scrapbooking for a girls getaway and it can be pricey I grant you that one
there is a woman in white lake which isnt far that has a farm house she set up as a B&B for a scrapbooking getaway, its very nice, beautifully decorated and she has great service, her meals are lavish and lots of goodies to always eat in the house, she lives down the street so she doesnt stay there and bug you, myfriends and I love going there and best of all she is very reasonable on her price, only $175 per person for the weekend which includes Friday dinner, Saturday Breakfast, Lunch and dinner and Sunday breakfast.

Also there is another great place in Manchester, MI which is near chelsea called Gotta Scrap Inn, they are wonderful too, a but more money $275 per person for the weekend but I definatley recommend going there once, its gorgeous!!

Wren's Nest ###-###-#### is a B&B located on Maple Rd. and Halsted area.... it's a great place and I know the owner, Irene, who is a great cook, too!

Have you tried Lansing? There are a couple of reasonable places there. The Best Western Midway is nice and has an indoor pool area that is wonderful. A dome really. Not too expensive either.

Hi H., I don't know where you are looking (or maybe it's your dates) but a quick search on Expedia came up with several hotels including the Hilton Garden Inn in Novi at $81 per night and I know the Marriott Detroit Livonia attached to Laurel Park place is very nice and reasonably priced. I generally do a weekend away on my own and always pick a local hotel that has a fitness room and a pool so I can fully relax on my own - I get a book, go see a movie and book a massage at Irene's Massage School - I never pay more than $300 for the whole weekend and that includes hotel food and entertainment - hmm, I think I need to book another weekend soon...
