"Mommy and Me"/playgroup in Anaheim Area
Hello everyone! I am wondering if anyone knows of a playgroup like "Mommy and Me" for infants. I live in Anaheim but am near the borders of both Yorba Linda and Orange. I work full time so the group would have to be in the evenings or on weekends. I am looking for a way to provide opportunities for socialization for my 6 month old son (he loves other children and has such a positive response to being around them) and to connect with other mothers in my community. Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

Try Music Maker in Anaheim at Santa Ana Canyon and Imperial. They have Baby and Toddler mommy & me classes. I think most start at about $35/month.

I don't know of any groups that meet in this area nights or weekends, but a great opportunity would be for you to go to the Concert in the Park held at Hart Park in Orange, every Wednesday evening this summer. It's free, very casual (bring a blanket, chairs, dinner if you like...they usually have BBQ food for sale) and LOTS of families with LOTS of kids. The bands start at 7:00PM, but it's best to get there 6:30 or earlier to get parking and find a place to squat. Let me know if you're going, and we can meet up!

Most of the playgroups are during the day. If you don't want to have to pay for a MyGym type program, then I would suggest perhaps starting your own play group. You can use meetup.com to promote it.
