I was on several cycles of clomid and it never worked for me. I was able to produce more eggs but we never conceived on it. It made me very hormonal. My friends who were on it also experienced it. I went thru injectable drugs which worked better and did not cause as much moodiness. good luck.

I have taken this drug many of times. I am very lucky to have two beautiful children age 7 and 20 months. The age difference is from my years of infertility. I did not have any problems with the drug. I did get pg with it when some of the more advanced drugs did not help me. My only concern is I see your age is only 25. I am close to forty. I would take the med for a few months and if you do not get pg I would get some test run on you and your significant other. This med does increase your chance of having twins etc. it helps mature your eggs so that fertilization can take place. Best wishes. Email me back if I can be of any help.

Taken it and hated it! It had the worst side effects of any fertility drug I took. I got it from my OB, not a specialist. Finally, on my 3rd month I had my appt. with the specialist and when they did the ultrasound, they saw it was thinning my lining and I would never conceive with it. I personally feel it should only be given while you are being monitored, it also leads to higher incidence of cancer after repeated useage. That said, I do know people that it worked well for, most on the first month. Maybe it was all about their mindset, but one had twins and another triplets, although multiples are rare with clomid, 10%, I think. Good luck, I hope the road is a short one for you!

I did my first round of clomid in January. Some advice:

If it works, the side effects are worth the result. Be mindful of potential headaches, mood swings and spotting when you're coming down off of it. Keep reminding yourself that this isn't you, your fiancee doesn't deserve to be buried behind the garage and if you know what to expect it's nothing you can't handle.http://www.mamasource.com/respond/11119024214646980609

I was taken off of it because the headaches were so bad for me, but I'm prone to migraines. But headaches, mood swings and spotting. Oh, and hot flashes. But I had that on Provera as well.

Best of luck. Let me know how it goes!

hI, I went through several years of fertility treatments, Clomid, injectibles, even the beginning of IVF. Luckily, I got pregnant completely on my own during a break from all the treatments...so after many years of trying we have our own little miracle! The best advice I could give you is to go see a specialist first before just taking Clomid. You need to find out what the issue is before taking any drugs. I think OBGYN's give Clomid too easily without really have an idea of what your issues are. In addition, my fertility Dr also told me that they don't want you on the Clomid for too many months if it's not working, because their can be longer term affects. If you are going to take fertility drugs, you should be getting monitored by a fertility specialist. I've been through it all, so if you have any other questions feel free to email me back! Good luck with everything!
