Mom Seeeking a Doula in the Southbay

I am seriously considering hiring a birthing doula. I would love some referrals of doulas that work in the southbay. In particular, I am interested in speaking with someone who practices hypnosis therapy.

What can I do next?

I used a doula and loved it! The best way to find a doula in the South Bay area is to go to the website www.doulasofthesouthbay.com They will be able to help you to find the right doula for you.

I just took a breastfeeding class at Long Beach Memorial, and they handed out a flyer for Bunny's Postpartum Doula Care. Supposedly this lady is really good at what she does, but I don't know if she is a birthing doula. But if you call her, I'm sure she'll recommend someone good if she doesn't do the birthing part.
The name on the flyer is Bunny Slaughter (horrible name, huh?), and her number is ###-###-####. Email is ____@____.com
website bunnythedoula.com

Rena Ward is the best doula around. We are using her for the second time and she's fabulous. You can reach her at ____@____.com

I'd recommend Patricia Grube. She's awesome! http://www.serenitybirth.com/about.html

She also teaches an amazing prenatal yoga class at Yogaworks off of Sepulveda. It was such a great class to participate in because you get to meet other soon to be mommies and there is a real community there.

Happy Birthing!
