Hi! I'm looking for consignment/thrift shops with nice maternity clothes. With the baby coming, saving every penny counts! My husband and I just moved to the area in June, then I found out I was pregnant in July! The town we moved from was small and I knew exactly where to go, but MD is so big I haven't got a clue! Any suggestions? Thanks!

What can I do next?

Have you tried Wiggle Room in Bethesda? It's a small shop, but has some nice things. Ebay is another good place to buy maternity clothes. GOOD LUCK!

PS - I'm expecting our first in March as well!

I dont know of any consignment shops that are cheap AND carry nice stuff...I know of cheap ones and nice ones with expensive stuff. I know maternity clothes are not cheap but the pregnancy I just got over, I wore a lot of basics from OldNavy Maternity, and they have a maternity section in the Wheaton store, Montgomery Mall, PG Plaza, and some others in the area. Motherhood Maternity in Wheaton and Montgomery also have cheap maternity clothes but they are not as cute as their sister stores, Mimi Maternity and Pea In The Pod, but definitely good price ranges.

Try Kensington Caboose on Connecticut Avenue in Kensington and also Togs For Tots in Four Corners on University Boulevard immediately off of 495 if you take the Rt. 29 North/Columbia exit. Both locations also have great prices/items but I prefer Kensington Caboose. I also consign there so keep that in mind for when you're ready to rid the closets of barely-worn baby clothes!:)

Hi, There is a huge one in Wheaton, Viers Mill Rd. (in the corner) with Randolph Rd., right across the Roadman. You can get nice stuff there and Mondays they have a 25 % discount. Good luck!
