You stick the moleskin to your skin, so sticky side on skin. If you already have a blister this could lead to a painful removal, but probably not as painful as continuing to have the shoe rub on the blister.

Good luck!

Yes... BUT... I've never tried to put it on an actual blister... I put it on hot spots to PREVENT the blister. The sticky side is VERY sticky... I'd be a little worried about it ripping the tender skin when you try to remove it.

Where there any directions on the box? (all I have is a roll that's been out of the box for about two years, so I can't check for you)

Okay so for a blister that is not open, and you want to protect it from rubbing/friction, you can just put a Band Aid over it.

Or, "Lambswool" that is made for the feet. Here is an example:

It is like "cotton balls" but better. Very soft and very helpful to use for feet padding in shoes. My Mom uses this.
It requires no sticky thing. You just put it in the shoe where it is rubbing on your foot.

I believe it is used inside the shoe you are going to wear, so that it is the soft moleskin rubbing against your tender, blistered foot/ankle. So, sticky side into the shoe.

I use this for ear-taping on my Rhodesians, the adhesive usually lasts ~ 3-5 days.

I have used it on fresh blisters, and some that had popped. The sticky side does go against your skin. I have never had a problem with removal, and like Kristen said, it's better than allowing the blister to be rubbed.

IF it starts to pull when you take it off, you can dip a q-tip in baby oil, and rub it between your skin and the sticky side as you pull it up.
