My period is almost one week late and I have taken a zillion pregnancy tests, all of them negative:( I have never been late like this before and have always been regular. I did have a miscarriage in June but since then have had 2 periods so I have figured I am back on track? I am so confused on why the tests are all negative and my period is MIA! I don't feel like I'm pregnant but want to be, should I hold on to some hope? Help!!!! I do have a son who is almost 3 and would love to give him a sibling!

What can I do next?

When I got prego with #2 I didn't get a positive result for three weeks after my missed period. It was strange. I got tired of buying expensive tests and eventually went to the dollar tree and bought a bunch of them for a dollar each and they worked just fine--in fact one of those finally told me I was prego. You could be prego... sometimes I guess it just takes a while for it to show up on a test. In the mean time I know it can drive you crazy wondering so try to relax.

Your body may still be out of whack after your miscarriage. I'd see a doctor and have a blood test if you still don't start. Good luck and I'm praying that you ARE pregnant!

I'm in the same boat. Miscarriage in March. We started trying after getting my period back. It was late that first time we tried, seriously overdue like 7 days but all pregnancy tests were negative. I was hopeful, but my period showed up. Most likely you are not pregnant, sorry.

Your body just needs time to readjust. It's taken a few months to get things back to normal. My next period was 24 days (I'm usually right on the dot at 28 days).

Hang in there. We are still trying and I'm working on being patient. I have a 2-year-old son and am getting very anxious to get him a sibling.

Is there a chance you could be going threw menopause? My mother went through menopause around 38. really young but the doctor confirmed it. I suggest asking the doctor. I also agree with some of the other mom's that it could be because of your miscarriage or stress.

Take a deep breath:)

Time between period and ovulation can be days or months, depends on stress and outside/inside factors -- you might have a slow ovulation this cycle. If you've already ovulated, typically up to 15 days then period. After 2 or 3 weeks, test again, and if another week, then blood test? That would put you around 4-6 weeks if you were pregnant.

The BEST book in the world on conception (or not-conceiving) = Taking Charge Of Your Fertility. Get it. Read it. Lurv it. Live it:)

You learn how to take your morning temp in mouth (before leaving bed) to know when you ovulate; your egg only lives one day; you need 12 days from ovulation to period for a successful implantation; tracking your cycle versus daily events to see what effects or not; and many other tips. Less stess = more regular cycles:) After 6 months doing the tracking, you will have a basis for a meaningful conversation with your GYN should you need any intervention help.

Get the book -- library or friend or used... you will not regret it. Good luck!

Are you absolutely sure you are late? It is possible if you are stressed out to miss a period. If you do not have your period in a week have your dr give you a blood test.

The dollar stores have pregnancy tests 2/$1 now which should save you a lot of money. Also, it takes time for the body to produce enough hormone to register.

i agree with yvette, however i wouldn't go to the dr so soon, if you WANT to be pg your brain believe it or not can interefere with your hormones and keep making you hold off for the possibility of pgnancy (my dr actually told me this).

i usually give it 2-3 months and if nothing then i go to dr.
