Miscarriage?

Hello everyone!

I am in need of some advice. The past 2 weeks I have felt nauseated periodically. Usualy it occurs in the morning.... food doesn't help. It happened 2 days in a row... but then stopped for a day or two and then happened again. I took a pregnancy test but it was negative. Then a couple days ago (Saturday)...I spotted a lil. I'm not due for my period until Feb 29th. Monday, I had gotten my period. However, it was kind of a dark red/ brownish color. Now it's more of a brighter red. Monday I had some serious cramping... and some today (just not as bad) And I hardly ever have any forms of cramping. My sister says I could have cysts (ovarian cancer runs in my family), but a friend says I might be having a miscarriage even though I don't think I'm pregnant. As far as clotting..... well I'm not 100% sure what's normal and what's considered a clot. Can anyone help me out? Should I contact my doctor?

What can I do next?

It could be either. You should definitely call your doctor because even if it's a cyst giving you pain, the clotting and blood doesn't mean it went away. The same thing happened to me. At first they thought it was a cyst that burst or a miscarriage even though I had no pregnancy symptoms. When I had the pain again a couple months later they did an ultrasound and found the cyst was still there and growing. I eventually needed surgery on the cyst because it was growing and damaging my ovary. So definitely call your doctor and get the ball rolling on finding out what it could be. Oh and no worries about being able to get pregnant when something happens like that...I had my son after the surgery.

Hi

Please remember, as my good friend, a pediatrition always tells me, doctors are supposed to be part of your good health TEAM. They are there for questions... that's how they get paid and they are doctors becuase they WANT to HELP. No question is stupid and particularly when it comes to bleeding or pain in the abdomen, chest, serious headaches etc. If you feel that your doctor will not take you seriously, call to see or talk to them and then start looking to change doctors. There are great dr.s in this area.

A little about me: I have a 4 yr old, a 1 yr old, and worked in the area of infertility education and support. I am from Hollywood. and wish you the best.

Your sister might be right, but just to be on the safe side and to get all negative thoughts out of the way, I would go for a check up at once. Your 4 year old depends on you, so you owe it to her to be as healthy as possible.

Call you Doctor immediately.

You should see your doctor. This is time for a medical diagnosis and not word from the man in the street. We are talking about your physicality not something to play with and not a time for public opinion. Go to the doctor now. I know you're probably scared but you know what, better safe than sorry. Do this for your adorable little girl but more than that, for yourself and your own peace.
